Family pork rib dinner with baby chairs in Gwangalli: Haean Sutbul
In short
Haean Sutbul Galbi Gwangalli Main Branch is a charcoal-grilled pork rib restaurant on Namcheonbada-ro in Suyeong, Busan. The visit covered the pork rib set for 3-4 people and a 3,000 won kids' meal, with plain and marinated ribs on the grill and an extra order of marinated ribs. With six-seat tables, baby chairs and a private room at the back, Haean Sutbul Galbi had plenty of space for a family meal with a young niece along.

Heard there was a spot in Gwangalli with amazing charcoal-grilled pork ribs, so I went to check it out.
A Gwangalli charcoal pork rib spot everyone raves about, Haean Sutbul Galbi

Where is Haean Sutbul Galbi Gwangalli Main Branch, and what are the hours and parking?
Haean Sutbul Galbi Gwangalli Main Branch is on the 1st floor at 35 Namcheonbada-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan, open daily from 17:00 to 1:00 the next day. Last order is 00:00.
There's no parking on site, so you'll need to use a nearby paid lot.
It's right in front of Gwangalli Beach, so it'd make a great walk along the beach before dinner or after a satisfying meat feast! 🌊
For reference on nearby parking alternatives — we parked at the cheapest option, the Samik Beach B Shopping Center lot. Parking is ₩2,000 per hour.

Haean Sutbul Galbi uses domestic grade-1 chilled meat. The plain ribs are made from carefully selected pork, low-temperature aged for chewy texture and rich flavor, while the marinated ribs are low-temperature aged for 72 hours in a special sauce made with pear, doraji (bellflower root), and fresh vegetables — supposedly giving them a soft, deep flavor!

Inside Haean Sutbul Galbi: six-seat tables, a private room and baby chairs
Inside Haean Sutbul Galbi Gwangalli Main Branch there's a six-seat table and an inner private room, plus a baby chair on hand. The tables and chairs have a retro feel, giving it a cozy old-school restaurant vibe.
The tables are big with plenty of space between them, so it's comfortable to eat at ease. I especially loved having the six-seat table — perfect for when two grills would be overkill!
There's also a private room in the back, which looks great for family gatherings or small get-togethers 👍

Wet wipes, small plates, soju glasses, and beer glasses are all stored under the table, so you can just grab them yourself without having to call a server — so convenient.

They also have a baby chair on hand~

All the dishes are made with clean water filtered through a German water filter, which was reassuring.
The menu at Haean Sutbul Galbi and what we ordered

Here's the menu board for reference~!

Here's what we ordered:
- Pork rib set for 3-4 people
- Kids' meal (rice, doenjang jjigae, seaweed)
- 1 extra bowl of rice
- Soju, beer, soft drinks
We started with that order and later added more marinated ribs since we kept eating haha.
Naver booking and receipt review events
- Naver reservation – 1 free makgeolli highball
- Receipt review – pork tail skewer sample coupon

Before the meat arrives, take a look at how to enjoy Haean Sutbul Galbi and how to use the restaurant! 👀
The chopstick container is filled with hot water for an extra round of sterilization before it's brought out — the hygiene management was so thorough, loved it!
Which side dishes come with the pork rib set (japchae refilled twice)
The basic banchan at Haean Sutbul Galbi include shredded scallions, pickled onion, lettuce wraps, spicy radish salad, gat kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi), and pickled peppers — all great to eat alongside the meat 👍
Baek kimchi (white kimchi), japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), cabbage salad, ssamjang, and garlic also come out! The japchae in particular was slightly salty with springy noodles — I slurped it right up and ended up refilling it twice haha.

Salt, soy sauce, and a spicy sauce for dipping the tail. Each sauce comes out one per person. With so many side dishes and all of them tasty, they went perfectly with the meat 👍

You can even order banchan refills through the kiosk, which was super convenient!
The 3,000 won kids' meal: rice, doenjang jjigae and seaweed

We also ordered a kids' meal for my niece. Rice, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and seaweed all together for ₩3,000 — such good value! I scooped out some jjigae for my niece first, then added chopped chili to the rest for a spicy kick — perfect.
How the plain and marinated pork ribs tasted

The plain and marinated ribs, glowing in color ✨️

A good balance of fat and lean meat — just the right ratio. Even the color looked super fresh.

Started with grilling the plain ribs first!

Potatoes, mushrooms, and garlic grilled next to the meat are so good!

The plain ribs, sliced into thin, bite-sized pieces, get grilled golden with that charcoal aroma soaked in, then cut up into easy-to-eat pieces~

First bite with a clean dip of wasabi and salt, then the next with shredded scallions. No gamey smell at all — light and nutty flavor!

Wrapped in perilla leaf with radish salad and white kimchi — delicious, and just as good wrapped in lettuce with scallions, garlic, and white kimchi. The variety of banchan is really impressive, and every single one pairs well with the meat, so mixing and matching is half the fun.

After swapping the grill plate, round two began with the marinated ribs haha. The plain and marinated ribs use different grill plates, so just ask a staff member to swap it out for you.
Pro tip: keep stir-frying the marinated ribs often so they don't burn. Maybe because it's low-temperature aged in a special sauce made with 100% domestic ingredients like pear, onion, and garlic, the meat was incredibly tender, and the sweetness wasn't artificial at all — the kind of flavor you never get tired of, keep reaching for more ㅠㅠ

Wrapped with fragrant angelica leaves, the combination was so good ㅠ (I love places that give you angelica leaves,,♥) The plain ribs were delicious, but personally I found the marinated ribs even better haha. In the end, I couldn't resist and ordered extra marinated ribs.
Grilled pork tail from the receipt review coupon
The grilled pork tail we got for submitting a receipt review! All the tail bones had already been removed, so it was easy to eat. The boneless tail, grilled over charcoal, was wonderfully chewy — perfect as a drinking snack too.
There's even dental floss and candy set up next to the register, a perfect finishing touch~~ If you're looking for a great pork restaurant in Gwangalli or Namcheon-dong, I recommend Haean Sutbul Galbi‼️
