Abalone sashimi platter and ramen in Dongnae, Busan: Moshi Moshi

Today I'm introducing Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, a sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station where you can enjoy fresh sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes. I'd always wondered about it since it looked busy, and this time I finally got to go, haha. Let's dive into how the visit went :)

Where is Moshi Moshi Sushi in Dongnae, and where do you park?

It's located on the 8th floor of Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, close to both Dongnae and Myeongnyun subway stations, so accessibility is really good. It seems like a perfect spot for a meal after shopping or a movie.

You can use the department store parking lot, so there's no need to worry about parking either.

The interior was spacious and clean! There was decent spacing between seats too,

and there were bar seats that looked great for solo dining.

As befits a sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station, Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch had a wide variety of sushi, fresh sashimi, and other side dishes like ramen and tempura, plus good-value set menus. Everything looked delicious, so it was really hard to pick just a few things, haha.

The dishes I ordered came out quickly. That day I ordered a sashimi platter, ramen, and shrimp tempura, and I was genuinely surprised by how good it all looked.

Sashimi platter: tuna, salmon, flounder and abalone

First, the sashimi platter, which I'd been looking forward to most since this is a sashimi restaurant — the color of the fish alone was on another level.

Just looking at it, you could tell how fresh it was.

There was tuna, salmon and flounder,

plus a satisfying amount of abalone sashimi (jeonbokhoe) with its fun crunchy texture.

The portion was more than enough for two people to share. All the sashimi was soft with no fishy smell at all, so it was really enjoyable to eat.

It was also thick-cut with a chewy texture that felt great in the mouth. The price was reasonable for what you get, so the value was good too~

Soft tofu salad and miso soup came alongside, making the sashimi platter even more enjoyable.

Ramen: deep, rich broth with chashu

Next was the ramen. I thought I'd need something warm to drink alongside the sashimi, so I ordered it too, and it turned out to be a great choice.

First of all, the broth was so deep and rich that it made you keep wanting more.

The noodles were also cooked just right and properly soaked up the rich broth, so everything came together really well without the broth feeling separate~

The crunchy texture of the bean sprouts added to it,

and this soft, melt-in-your-mouth chashu had a sweet-savory flavor that suited my taste perfectly~

There was also a whole savory egg in there, haha. I usually love ramen and eat it often, and this place really seems to be great not just at sashimi but at ramen too :)

Shrimp tempura: large shrimp in thin batter

Lastly, the shrimp tempura. Just looking at it, you could tell it was fried to a nice golden brown — quite the sight.

The shrimp were pretty large, and the batter was thin and crispy, giving it just the right texture. The shrimp inside the batter were plump and springy, and genuinely delicious.

It paired really well with the sashimi platter and ramen we ordered, making for a truly enjoyable dinner.
