If you're looking for a beef gopchang spot in Bangi-dong, it's Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang. There are quite a few gopchang restaurants on Bangi Meokja Alley, but out of all the ones I've tried in Bangi-dong, this is the best value, doesn't smell, and tastes really clean, so I wanted to write this up and recommend it!
The taste and service put even the famous gopchang places to shame — you have to try it! Just know you'll have to wait a bit ㅠ
Beef gopchang and beef daechang for ₩19,000?

What we ordered that day: beef gopchang + beef daechang + garlic fried rice (yangbap) + anchovy noodle soup + a drink. Since we came for gopchang, of course we had to properly dig into the main dishes first!
We ate until we were stuffed, and the total came to just ₩55,000...? Usually beef gopchang runs ₩25,000–₩29,000 per serving elsewhere. But here it's ₩19,000, and the quality is no joke.

Basic banchan: steamed egg and 3 kinds of domestic kimchi
For the basic side dishes, you get steamed egg + seasoned chives + 3 kinds of house-made domestic kimchi. It's fun having a choice of kimchi ^^ If you check the origin labels, almost everything is domestic (only the red pepper flakes seem to be from China).

Beef gopchang: full of fat, no funky smell
First, an honest review of the beef gopchang. They grill it with a pretty generous amount of vegetables and kimchi — potato, chives, bean sprouts, rice cake, and cabbage.

It comes pre-cooked, so we could eat it right away!
The beef gopchang was packed with fat, and the more you chewed, the nuttier it tasted. There wasn't a hint of that funky offal smell (probably because it's hanwoo beef). The chewy texture and savory flavor blended really well — if you like gopchang, this will satisfy you! The outside gets nicely browned while the inside stays moist and savory, so I kept reaching for more.

One of the things I care about most when looking for a good beef gopchang place in Bangi-dong is the condition of the gopchang itself, and this was satisfying on that front. Passed!
Beef daechang, properly savory
Next up, beef daechang! Daechang always looks appetizing with its plump, juicy appearance. Daechang is one of those things that really splits opinions depending on the place — some places are so greasy you can't finish it. So why wasn't it greasy here? Turns out it's because of the sauce.

They give you a generous amount of sauce loaded with minced garlic, and it's genuinely delicious. With minari (water celery) and chili mixed in, there's no way it could taste greasy. Amazing..

If you like beef gopchang, I'd recommend ordering the beef gopchang and beef daechang combo together.
Finish it off with garlic fried rice!

Once you've had your fill of gopchang, there's one dish you can't skip: garlic fried rice loaded with garlic! Leaving a gopchang restaurant without fried rice always feels like something's missing, so this time we wrapped up with the garlic rice. With the nutty flavor plus rice, it filled us up nicely.

Eating rice with the lingering nutty flavor from the gopchang really suited it as the final course. Even after eating plenty of gopchang, the rice just kept going down — Koreans really do need rice at the end. Generous portion, genuinely delicious... should have ordered two servings.
Anchovy noodle soup to clean things up
Even after the garlic fried rice, we weren't done yet. It was so affordable that we ordered anchovy noodle soup as the very last dish! The warm, light broth with slurpable noodles made a great closer after all that gopchang. After eating something greasy, you crave this kind of clean broth dish, and a bowl of anchovy noodle soup really settled the stomach.
If I had to recommend just one dessert-like dish, it's garlic fried rice over anchovy noodle soup. The fried rice was tastier! haha
What's on the drinks menu?
The restaurant's menu board doesn't list prices for alcohol ^^ haha. We didn't drink that day so I don't know the exact prices, but I took a photo of the lineup just to show what's available.

There's a nice range — Maehwasu, bokbunja, Chungha, beer, and makgeolli. What struck me most visiting Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang this time was just how good the value was. And it wasn't just good value — the taste was genuinely excellent too.

We had beef gopchang and beef daechang, then enjoyed garlic fried rice and anchovy noodle soup on top — overall, it was a filling meal without feeling like a splurge. These days, getting beef gopchang or daechang can be pretty pricey, but considering the menu lineup and portions here, satisfaction was high!
This place seems good for a work dinner or gathering in Bangi-dong, and also a great spot to visit with friends on a day you want to eat gopchang until you're stuffed.
