24-hour board game cafe in Dongchun, Incheon: 3-hour mat room rates

Shinmon and I heard a board game café near Dongchun Station was pretty good, so we checked it out ~ it's called Holmes & Lupin24 OTT Board Game Plus Incheon Dongchun. Turns out it's an unmanned café, but even so it was spotlessly clean!! And the rooms were bigger than I expected, which was great.

How to find Holmes & Lupin24 in Dongchun-dong and how the unmanned check-in works

Holmes & Lupin24 OTT Board Game Plus Incheon Dongchun is on the 2nd floor at 39-6 Aenggogae-ro 246beon-gil, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. It's super easy to find if you set your navigation to Nazareth International Hospital!! Right before the hospital you'll see a Nonghyup bank — turn right there, then an immediate left, then another right, and you're there.

Since it's unmanned, you need to do age verification between 10pm and 8:59am. What's really neat is the door opens the exact second it hits 9am! I found that so cool haha.

Is the price per person or per room?

The key thing is this is a room price, not a per-person price!! And on top of that, drinks aren't required!!!

Other places make you order a drink and their rooms are small, split over two floors, but here it's a standalone room, the room size is bigger, and drinks aren't required, so there's way less pressure — seems like a great spot for students too.

They sell a variety of snacks too, so you don't have to worry about getting hungry while gaming ~

Room types: board game rooms, 2-person sofa rooms and mat rooms

Turn left when you come in and you'll see the board game room. It's not a fully enclosed room, but the board games are right next to it, so the flow is really convenient haha.

Next is the PlayStation/Nintendo 2-person sofa room. All the equipment and games are already set up right inside the room, so you never need to step outside for anything.

Last, the mat room. We chose the mat room, and when you walk in, everything's already set up like this!!

There's a step-by-step instruction guide prepared for the setup too, so there was zero difficulty ~ and if you get tired of gaming, you can watch OTT, which was great.

One thing different from other board game/Nintendo cafés — at other places, if someone else takes the game pack you wanted, you're out of luck. But here, every room already has its own full set, so you never have to worry about that.

That's the advantage — you can play whatever game you want, as much as you want, with no waiting and no awkwardness!!

Three hours in the mat room, spent entirely on Rhythm Heaven

There were even more games than what was listed in the game guide!!! Since I wasn't the first one in the room, I only found out there were extra games with 10 minutes left... T.T

(Honestly, I really wanted to play Rhythm Heaven, so I played it the entire 3 hours lol. I'll show you below — I kept clearing stages one after another...)

There are various instructions to read through, and there's even a review event that gets you 30 minutes free if you participate — so join in and squeeze out a bit more playtime before you leave!!

I'd seen this on Instagram and really wanted to try it... so I played nothing but this for a whole hour straight lol.

Rhythm Heaven has a bunch of different modes, so it was fun picking and choosing which ones to play ~ I'm pretty good, right?!! Got 0.00 twice, hahahaha.

This is what I meant about kept clearing stages... lol. Once you get medals, a new stage opens up one after another — how am I supposed to stop?! Somebody teach me how to stop!!!

How many board games does Holmes & Lupin24 stock?

I mentioned the board game area earlier — the variety is truly wild. I've never seen a place with this many. I've been to a lot of similar spots, but none had this much lol.

Other places are staffed, but this one is unmanned and still incredibly well maintained, with so much variety that you probably couldn't finish trying everything even playing just one round of each lol.

Who is this Incheon board game cafe best for?

This would be a great spot for students looking for board games to do in Songdo.
