Choco latte and evening parasol seats at Selected Nicks, Gangnam café

Today I want to introduce Selected Nicks, a large café near Gangnam Station haha. I found it while looking for a café near Gangnam Station, and the space was way bigger than I expected 😳 I didn't know there was such a huge café right in the middle of Gangnam. We ordered a choco latte, ginger lemon ade, and classic tiramisu and tried them all!

Where Selected Nicks is and the basics

Selected Nicks is within easy walking distance of Gangnam Station, so it was very accessible! Cafés around Gangnam Station tend to be crowded with narrow seating, but this large café runs multiple spaces so it was easy to find a spot to sit comfortably. Since parking is available too, it seems like a good option for those driving to Gangnam Station.

The exterior of Selected Nicks is easy to spot with the big SELECTED NICK'S sign on the wall, and outdoor tables line the side of the building. We visited in the evening and saw the outdoor space lit up.

As soon as we arrived, the large SELECTED NICK'S sign on the wall made it easy to find. Along the side of the building there was a row of outdoor tables too.

There were several parasols and tables set up, and the lighting was pretty, so it seemed like it would be nice to sit outside for coffee on a good-weather day haha. We visited in the evening, and with the lights on, the outdoor space had a pretty nice atmosphere.

How big is the inside of Selected Nicks?

The interior of Selected Nicks spans multiple floors, and besides regular seating there are large tables for groups and bar-style seats too. The tables were also fairly spaced apart.

Overall, the space felt spacious enough to hang out and chat with friends, and it also looked like a decent spot to bring a laptop and work or study.

What does renting the private room cost?

According to the notice posted at the time of our visit, the Selected Nicks private room costs ₩30,000 per hour, with one free tiramisu included per team. It can hold up to 6 people, and outside food is allowed.

One thing that stood out about Selected Nicks was that it doesn't just run as a café — it also offers space rental.

As shown in the photo, there's a separate private room equipped with a sofa, TV, and table, and it can be used for meetings, gatherings, or dates depending on the purpose 😳

When I visited, the posted notice said the private room costs ₩30,000 per hour with one free tiramisu included per team. It holds up to 6 people and outside food can be brought in, so it seemed like a good option for anyone needing a quiet space for a small group to gather 🤔 That said, rental fees and conditions may change, so I'd recommend double-checking when you book!

Classic tiramisu

First, the classic tiramisu came in a neat square shape topped with a generous dusting of cocoa powder. The menu board even introduces tiramisu as the signature item at Selected Nicks. There were several flavors to choose from, but since it was our first visit, we went with the most basic classic tiramisu haha. It was a great dessert to pair with coffee or a drink, and above all, it looked clean and photogenic.

For drinks, we ordered a choco latte and a ginger lemon ade!

The ginger lemon ade was topped with lemon, rosemary, and cinnamon, so it looked unique right from the start 😳 It had a different feel from a typical lemon ade, and it paired well with the tiramisu. With the choco latte ordered alongside it, it was perfect for sipping a drink each while sharing the tiramisu.

Looking at the menu, there was also a separate set menu that lets you order drinks, tiramisu, and dessert together 😳 If you're visiting with a group and planning to have drinks and dessert together, it's worth checking out the set options!!

Final verdict on Selected Nicks

Selected Nicks, our visit near Gangnam Station! First of all, I was surprised by how much bigger the place was than I expected, and I liked that it had a variety of spaces, from indoor seating to outdoor tables. Gangnam Station cafés can get crowded, making it hard to find a seat sometimes, so if you're looking for a large café near Gangnam Station, this one is worth knowing about haha.

Having the choco latte and ginger lemon ade alongside the classic tiramisu made for a nice dessert-and-chat combo. With private rooms and group space rentals also available, it seemed useful not just as a café but as a place to look into for meetups or meetings.
