Daegu café with soft jambon-beurre and park views: Hands Coffee

The reason you absolutely need to visit now is its elevated spot above the busy city, which gives it a wonderfully open feel. It is a Dongchon Resort café with delicious desserts and plenty of space, so I truly do not think you will regret stopping by.

Red-brick exterior and kiosk ordering

The moment I entered, I loved the exterior, where red brick and antique-style interiors came together so beautifully!

It had an atmosphere that really stood out even among Daegu’s large cafés. Especially because, as soon as you walk in, there is no need to interact face-to-face with a staff member,

I was very pleased that I could order quickly and conveniently at the kiosk by the entrance.

What is in the Hands Brunch Set?

At last, the brunch time I had been most excited for!

We ordered the Hands Brunch Set, and it arrived neatly arranged on a pretty wooden tray. The moment it was set down, I felt so pampered.

Our choices were the pagery cream pasta and a soft jambon-beurre.

With the pagery cream pasta, there was no need to twirl it around a fork—you could just scoop it up with the sauce using a spoon,

and take big spoonfuls! It was honestly so easy to eat and completely my style.

The soft jambon-beurre was generously packed with salty jambon (ham).

And because the ciabatta was pleasantly plain and savory, I enjoyed it right to the end without getting tired of it.

Second-floor seating and a fourth-floor Sunrise Park view

After ordering, we settled into seats on the second floor. There was so much space between tables that it was great for having a private conversation with your group.

But later, while looking around the café, I went up to the fourth floor and really regretted not taking a seat there from the start!

What is more, the park view through the fourth-floor windows was a work of art.

The wide-open Sunrise Park spread out before me at a glance. I think it would become an especially memorable place if you came when the cherry blossoms bloom in spring or the leaves turn in autumn.

How was the parking stress?

Parking stress is usually the biggest concern when visiting a large bakery café known for its views, right? But here, you can put that worry aside.

There is a roomy parking lot on the first floor of the building, so parking is easy,

and even if it is full at peak time, roadside parking is possible around the café, making parking remarkably low-stress.
