Siznique is already famous for its amazing cakes. The fruit piled high on top always catches my eye 👀 This time, I was heading to a friend’s housewarming, so I decided to pick up a cake here! It’s right in front of the B1 escalator, so it’s easy to find. Just look for the display case full of colorful, pretty cakes!

Peach Cream Basque ₩29,000

Peaches and figs are in season right now, so they had come out as seasonal cakes.

Floral Peach (Mini) ₩38,000

This is the mini peach cake. Thinly sliced peaches are arranged like flowers! And it’s packed with peaches inside 🍑

Floral Peach (No. 1) ₩48,000

The larger peach cake! It seems like a good size for three or four people.

Honey Vanilla Fig (Mini) ₩35,000

Since figs are in season now, this one looked delicious too! It’s a cake with sweet figs.

Mango Top Cake (Mini) ₩39,000

This is their most signature mango cake! Even though it’s mini-sized, they say it uses three whole mangoes!! It’s really piled high 🥭

Mango Cream Basque ₩29,000

There are regular sponge cakes and Basque-style cakes with a scone-like feel, which seem like they would taste richer and more substantial than cake.

I could choose among mango, peach, and fig, but it was such a hard choice… They all looked delicious and beautiful, so I kept wondering which one would make the best gift...

The Floral Peach Mini I chose as a housewarming gift

In the end, I went with the peach cake, haha. A peach cake with peaches arranged prettily like flowers! My friend said it would be her first time trying peach cake too, so I decided to buy one!

They include a basic knife, matches, and candles according to the number you need. Number candles were available to buy separately.

True to its farm-like name, fresh, lush-looking fruit seems to be its signature, haha.

A peach cake you can enjoy for one month!! Try it before autumn and winter arrive.

They had the cake ready for me almost immediately.

First of all, the green packaging is so pretty! While walking around the department store, I saw lots of people carrying cakes in these green boxes. There aren’t many cake brands at Shinsegae Department Store, and this one is probably the best known, so it seems lots of people come looking for it.

What did the peach cake taste like?

I arrived at my friend’s new home! We took out the cake with coffee, haha.

First of all, it was so pretty and elegant.

The thin peaches on top are decorated like flowers, and they’re just sweet enough. At first I wondered if they would be firm peaches, but they were somewhere between soft and firm…!! I love peaches like that. And the whipped cream wasn’t overly sweet or rich, so it went really well with the peaches. It was my first peach cake, and I thought, wow, this is tastier than I expected? Haha.

Inside were sponge, whipped cream, and peaches—and there were really so many peaches!! Siznique cakes are packed with fruit, and this peach cake was no exception; the fruit proportion was much higher. Sweet whipped cream + delicately textured, delicious peaches + sponge. I loved that the peaches didn’t feel separate from the cake!

Overall, the balance was great, and the sponge, whipped cream, and peaches all came together smoothly rather than standing apart. It’s the perfect mini size for two or three people! A great cake to bring as a gift or for a day worth celebrating. Their strawberry cake is also famous for being delicious, so I’m looking forward to winter too~~!
