I heard Kuu Kuu had just opened near Suwon City Hall Station, so I was curious and went straight over! I always thought of Kuu Kuu as a buffet strong on sushi and rolls, but this branch even has a grill corner where you cook your own food, so the menu range is way bigger now! You can enjoy sushi, sashimi, fried food, hot dishes and dessert all in one place, so it's perfect for a day when you don't want to think too hard and just want a bit of everything!

Inside the buffet: room seating and the kids' play area
Since it's a newly opened branch, everything felt clean and well-organized, with the space clearly divided into sections! The tables aren't cramped and it's easy to move around to grab food. There are room-style spaces suited for family gatherings, first birthdays, sixtieth birthdays and other events, plus tables that work well for a date!
There's also a clean play area for families visiting with preschool-age kids, so everyone can eat comfortably while the little ones have their own fun!
Land-and-sea grill corner: cook your own meat and seafood
The first thing that caught my eye at Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch was the Land-and-Sea Grill corner. Everything from the grill pans to the meat was ready so you could bring over whatever ingredients you wanted and cook them yourself!

From pork to seafood, vegetables and chicken, all the grillable meats were fresh — the kind of ingredients that taste best eaten right away!

Buffet food is often pre-cooked, so the texture can suffer once it's been sitting a while, but grilling it fresh right there was so nice!

They keep bringing out fresh grill pans and the area stays so tidy — I was honestly impressed this is an all-you-can-eat buffet. Unsurprisingly, the grill zone had the most people!
Sushi, rolls and the sashimi counter
There was plenty of sashimi too — tuna belly, smoked salmon, octopus, shrimp, whelk. And of course, sushi is Kuu Kuu's signature! From the classics like halibut, salmon and shrimp to sauce-topped sushi and various rolls, the selection was wide!

Cheese shrimp rolls, kimchi tuna rolls, beef, eel — all generously sized and neatly arranged, so clean-looking!

Soy sauce shrimp, soy sauce marinated crab, spicy seasoned shrimp — I was honestly amazed to see soy sauce marinated crab at Kuu Kuu, from soy sauce shrimp all the way to spicy seasoned shrimp!
Hot dishes, fried food and the noodle corner
There were hot soup dishes too, like ox knee bone seolleongtang (bone broth soup), a soup station, and skewered fish cake soup.

Grilled vegetables, kimchi fried rice, ppuring chicken, crab fritters — after eating only sushi for a while you start craving something hot, and the fried items were crispy outside and moist inside, tasty even without sauce and just the right seasoning!

I thought the noodle corner would only have rice noodles, but there was buckwheat noodles, rice noodles and jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) too, plus a wide range of toppings to choose from!
There were also hot dogs, cheese sticks, fries and takoyaki.

Tons of variety in the salads and fruit too!
Desserts, drinks and waffles made to order
At the dessert corner in Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch you can refill ice cream pearls as much as you like, so kids kept coming back for more!

There are several drink options too, a beverage corner that covers everyone's tastes from adults to kids!

Staff grill the waffles fresh and set them right next to the station, so it's easy to grab one — and being crispy, they tasted even better!
Who is Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall best for?

What I liked most about the newly opened Kuu Kuu near Suwon City Hall is that it added a grill corner on top of the usual Kuu Kuu lineup, widening the options even more! Since you can help yourself to sushi, meat, fried food, hot dishes and salad exactly as you like, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a buffet for a family meal, a hangout with friends, or just a place to eat a bit of everything at once!
