Where is Jugeokjip, and can you park and bring a dog?

Jugeokjip is a Songtan BBQ restaurant located on the 1st floor at 35 Jisan1-ro 70beon-gil, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's open daily 10:00-22:00, with last order at 21:20.

There are parking lots connected to both the left and right sides of Jugeokjip's entrance. You can park at the lot with the mint-green sign, or use Songtan Market Public Parking Lot No. 1, about a 3-minute walk away ^^ 🐶 Dogs welcome!

Today I want to introduce Jugeokjip, a Songtan BBQ restaurant everyone raves about :) Look at the size of that exterior! Even Samsung employees are amazed when they hold their company dinners here!!! This place fits up to 200 people!

Walk in and right at the entrance — free soju Unlimited, 100 bottles? 1000 bottles even?? Haha, isn't that crazy? Haha

Here's the inside! The interior is huge too, haha While I was taking photos, I realized I'd never been to a place this big before!!! There are lots of buffets around, but this is a proper Songtan BBQ restaurant, you know? Hahaha

There are about two separated rooms like this, haha. I ate in this one, haha It was so cool it was almost cold — and I loved it, hahaha, even in this heat wave, hahaha

What's on the free self-bar at Jugeokjip?

Jugeokjip's self-bar has vegetables and side dishes of course, but also free tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), sweet glutinous corn, marshmallows, ice cream, and even coffee — all free. I've never seen a self-bar this big at a BBQ restaurant, haha. Isn't the level here insane?

There's so much!!! Baby napa cabbage, lettuce, scallion kimchi, cabbage kimchi, jalapeños, macaroni salad, spicy radish salad, eggplant, zucchini

Japchae, tteokbokki, cream soup, sweet glutinous corn, marshmallows and more Everything was genuinely delicious!!! The tteokbokki uses wheat rice cakes and was sweet and tasty, haha That was my first time ever trying marshmallows here, haha, sweet and delicious The sweet glutinous corn was so chewy and good, haha How can everything here be this good? Haha

There's even ice cream at the self-bar, hahaha — free!!! Dwaejibar, Amatna, Watermelon Bar, Megaton, Melona, Wild Body, Choco Fudge, Jaws Bar, Byeollanbar, Mango There were so many good options it was hard to choose, hahaha

There's a coffee machine too! Mix coffee, americano, espresso Even the americano comes mild or strong!!!

How many side dishes come with a Jugeokjip meal?

Jugeokjip sets out more than 10 side dishes. Most of them are also on the self-bar, haha!

Lettuce, peppers, jalapeños, japchae, seasoned soft tofu, chive acorn jelly, yeolmu kimchi, cabbage wraps, dried radish strips, spicy radish salad, macaroni salad, garlic, ssamjang, wasabi, salt, salted shrimp, pickled onions

That's over 10 side dishes!!! Haha Lately I keep ending up at places with tons of side dishes — this is my second time now, haha, so nice, haha But what I really love here is that dogs are allowed! My dog Bboppo is a senior dog, so I get anxious leaving her alone, hahaha She loves walks and behaves quietly at restaurants, so it's easy to bring her along, haha

300g of jugeok-sal and the receipt review freebie

We got jugeok-sal 150g x 2 = 300g! Jugeok-sal is a rare rib meat — only one piece comes from between the rib bones, hence the name 'spoon meat.' 20 years of history and 7 years of sales prove it. I was so excited to eat such a precious cut! Haha

Also, if you post a Naver receipt photo review (2 photos), just ask a staff member! You get a free 5-star hotel-style seasoned crab, doenjang jjigae, or kimchi jjigae! So I did the receipt review and got the 5-star seasoned crab, haha! You should all try it too, haha!

My dog Bboppo seemed stressed not being able to eat meat at a BBQ restaurant, hahaha Panting away, hahaha So I secretly gave her a little jugeok-sal, hahaha She's a senior dog, and if she doesn't eat she gets sick, so ㅠㅠ After eating the jugeok-sal her expression got so much prettier, hahaha She loved it so much, hahaha

My husband grilled the jugeok-sal so well, haha This meat needs your full attention to grill properly! If you're not careful it's tricky to get right! It can overcook, haha True of all meat though, haha

Free soju — how could we not drink? Hahaha Not telling you we drank 4 bottles, hahaha That was between the two of us though, hahaha, I can't drink much ㅜ, can't even finish one bottle, hahaha

The jugeok-sal was chewy, savory and so delicious! Haha A true certified Songtan BBQ favorite!!!

The best way to eat jugeok-sal at Jugeokjip

Our favorite way to eat jugeok-sal is with jalapeños! You can eat unlimited jalapeños, hahaha Extra orders are only ₩17,500! Only the first order is ₩26,000!!! This place is just insane! Nowhere else is this good! Unlimited soju is crazy enough, but extra orders are half price, there's a whole self-bar of food, dogs are welcome!!! The owner and staff are so kind too!!!

I want to eat jugeok-sal again ㅠㅠㅠ The texture was so good!!! Now I get why they've sold over 76,000 servings and 11 tons of it over 7 years, haha

This is the seasoned crab you can choose (or kimchi jjigae or doenjang jjigae) if you post two or more Naver receipt photo reviews — I chose the 5-star seasoned crab, and it was generous and delicious too, haha

My husband also grabbed eggplant and zucchini from the self-bar, haha I didn't eat any, hahaha, I was way too full, hahaha, from trying everything, hahaha

I ate both marshmallows we grabbed from the self-bar myself, hahaha Sweet and delicious, haha, my first time trying them, hahaha — I always wanted to try them by a campfire, but never thought I'd finally have them at a BBQ restaurant, hahaha

Bibim-naengmyeon with Jugeokjip's house-made sauce

The bibim-naengmyeon sauce is apparently handmade! My husband said it was so good he downed it in one go, hahaha I was too full to try it, hahaha, didn't even taste it, hahaha My appetite is surprisingly small, hahaha — well, not small exactly, just not huge, hahaha

It looks so good just from the photo! I regret not trying it ㅠ Definitely having it next time, hahaha

Later on we grabbed tteokbokki from the self-bar too It was sweet and so good that even after saying I'd stop drinking soju, I had a few more glasses, hahaha

To finish it off, ice cream, hahaha Me: watermelon bar, hahaha, husband: dwaejibar, hahaha I only found out after 9 and a half years together that he likes dwaejibar, hahaha — before that he always ate melona and things like that~ you really never know, hahaha
