New apple cinnamon jambon-beurre for lunch in Jamsil: Town Sandwich
In short
Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch is a sandwich shop near Jamsil Station in Songpa, Seoul, serving jambon-beurre alongside coffee. Torn between basil and the new apple cinnamon option, the writer ordered the apple cinnamon jambon-beurre with an iced americano and got a cranberry cookie on the house — a moist baguette loaded with apple cinnamon that paired surprisingly well with the salty ham. Verdict: a satisfying, not-too-heavy lunch, worth trying the new flavor before circling back to basil next time.

I had somewhere to be in Jamsil around lunchtime, and while thinking about what to grab nearby, a sandwich popped into my head — so I went to Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch 🥪✨ I'd also been craving a Jamsil jambon-beurre, and since I didn't want too heavy a lunch, one sandwich plus coffee felt just right haha.

The weather was nice when I visited, so quite a few people were already sitting on the terrace 🌿☀️ I went inside to order and decided to eat there instead. The place itself was clean and had a nice vibe for eating a sandwich and taking a short break 😊

Basil or apple cinnamon: deciding on the new menu
Looking at the menu, there were a few types of jambon-beurre (ham and butter sandwich), so I hesitated a bit. I went back and forth hard between basil and apple cinnamon, but eating both would have made lunch way too heavy, so I had to pick just one hahahaha. I already had a rough idea of what basil tasted like, so this time I was more curious about the new apple cinnamon jambon-beurre 🍎🥪 And of course lunch needs a coffee transfusion, so I ordered an iced americano too ☕️ I was slightly tempted by the soup as well, but figured sandwich plus coffee would already fill me up, so I skipped it this time. Next time I'll have to try the soup too haha 👀

While waiting for my order, the sandwich came out prettier than I expected, so I snapped a few photos first 📸 I'd come for a Jamsil jambon-beurre, but this was my first time trying an apple cinnamon combination, so I was curious how it would taste.

How was the apple cinnamon jambon-beurre?
I started with the bread, and it was really moist, which I loved. Jambon-beurre can be a bit disappointing if the bread is too dry, but here the bread itself was moist and soft, which paired well with the ham 🥪✨ And then the part I was most excited about — the apple cinnamon! There was way more of it inside than I expected 🍎

It wasn't just a little dab here and there — I could taste the apple cinnamon in nearly every bite, and I genuinely loved that ㅠㅠㅠㅠ The sweetness of the apple with the cinnamon aroma gave it a slightly dessert-like feel even though it's a jambon-beurre, which was fun. The combination of salty ham and sweet apple cinnamon worked better than I expected 👀💕 So I just kept saying it was delicious as I ate hahahaha.
When you think of a Jamsil jambon-beurre, you usually picture the classic ham-and-butter combo first, but adding apple cinnamon definitely gave it a different feel. Since it was a new menu item, I was even more curious, and I think I made the right call choosing apple cinnamon this time 😊

The 3-way cut request and the free cranberry cookie
They also said they can cut the sandwich into three pieces if you ask. I was eating alone, but cutting it into three would probably make it easier to eat and better for photos too ✨ There was also a cranberry cookie that came with it — given as a complimentary item 🍪 I was honestly a little surprised at how thick the cookie was when I first saw it haha. The cranberries were packed in generously too, big chunks, so even just one cookie seemed like it could work as a decent snack.

Between the sandwich and the cookie, I ended up fuller than I expected 🤣 If you like cranberries, I think you'll like this too. Something I personally didn't expect to like was the americano ☕️ I figured coffee at a sandwich shop would just be a side thing, but the price here isn't a burden and the coffee itself was strong and tasty. I don't love it when coffee is too weak, so having it brewed strong made it great to pair with the sandwich 👌

How was it as a Jamsil lunch?
Having the Jamsil jambon-beurre with an iced americano made for just the right amount for lunch. If you have plans in Jamsil around lunchtime and want something simple instead of a heavy meal, I think a sandwich is a solid choice 😊 Jamsil is also a place where people often need to find somewhere to eat in between errands, and Town Sandwich was convenient since you can get a sandwich and coffee together. There's also a terrace, so eating outside on a nice day would be great too 🌿☀️ I ate inside that day, and since the place was clean, it was a comfortable meal.
I imagine some people looking for a Jamsil jambon-beurre also go back and forth between basil and apple cinnamon — I went with apple cinnamon this time. I've had basil so many times before, so next visit I'm definitely getting basil hahahaha 🌿 Now that I've tried apple cinnamon, I want to compare it against basil next time. Parking is also available — using the Jamsil The Sharp Star Park underground lot gets you 1 hour free on weekdays and 2 hours free on weekends 🚗 If you're parking, just ask staff to register it for you.

Whether a place has parking matters a lot when you're driving around Jamsil. It's good to know this in advance before visiting 😊 I went for a lunch appointment, but the sandwich was tastier than expected, so I think I'll stop by again next time I'm passing through Jamsil. The apple cinnamon Jamsil jambon-beurre I tried this time was a new menu item I was curious about, and the generous amount of apple cinnamon inside suited my taste well 🍎🥪 The bread was moist, and the ham-and-apple-cinnamon combo was better than expected too. Most of all, I liked how well the coffee went with it ☕️ If you're new to Jamsil jambon-beurre, starting with the classic basil or another menu item is fine, but if you want something a bit different like I did, the apple cinnamon is worth choosing too. I picked it partly because it was a new item, and it turned out to be a good choice hahaha 😆 The owner was also friendly, which made ordering comfortable.

At the end, having one of those trendy candies is the perfect palate cleanser 🍬hahahaha. This place will come to mind on days when you don't want anything too heavy for lunch and just want a simple sandwich with coffee. I visited while looking for a Jamsil jambon-beurre, and next time I need to come back for the basil version 👀 I had apple cinnamon this time, so next I'll order basil and compare the difference for myself haha.

On a nice day, eating on the terrace seems like a good option too, and if I have plans around Jamsil again, I'll probably stop by once more 😊 This time I had the apple cinnamon jambon-beurre plus an iced americano, and got a cranberry cookie on the house too 🍪 Next time, I'm definitely trying the basil hahahaha 🌿
