Oi Samgyetang Bucheon Main Branch, a Sangdong Station favorite, is 625 meters from Sangdong Station Exit 2. 😊

It's behind the Bucheon Sopung Terminal, next to the Sang2-dong Community Center, on the 2nd floor of Neulpureun Shopping Center 🎈 — our family's long-time go-to whenever we want to eat something nourishing‼️

There's ample underground parking, so it's easy to visit comfortably. 🚘

Inside Oi Samgyetang: window tables and a private room

The inside is very spacious and clean. Even with this many seats in such a large space, it's a well-known Sangdong restaurant that fills up completely with regulars and customers during peak times or the boknal (dog days of summer) season! ⭐

Not just the main hall — every corner of Oi Samgyetang, a Bucheon favorite, is efficiently divided up!

The window tables, where you can eat while looking out at a lush green view through the floor-to-ceiling glass, are great too! The tables are spaced generously, making it a perfect spot for a family meal or a date in Sangdong~! 🌿

There's also a private room, which is really good for booking ahead if you want to host a work dinner or family gathering near Sangdong Station.

It started as a small shop in 1997 and later moved to its current spot in Sangdong, Bucheon! A Sangdong samgyetang favorite that has kept its consistent taste and care over the years~! 🍗

The various infused liquors displayed inside the restaurant are fun to look at too~!

There's a full lineup of nourishing dishes — samgyetang, chicken baeksuk, duck baeksuk, dak-doritang (spicy braised chicken) and more ><💪🏻 The whole chicken dishes take about an hour to cook, so I'd recommend reserving ahead before you visit! ⏰

The side dishes were kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), pickled onion, pickled radish, cucumber, and chili peppers.

If you run low on side dishes, just help yourself at the self-serve bar! 😊

Even though it's an herbal samgyetang, the herbal aroma isn't overpowering or strong at all — it's subtle, so kids and picky eaters alike can enjoy this clean, deep-flavored samgyetang without complaint!

The chicken was noticeably large, and not dry at all — tender and moist. The moment you take one bite, you nod along and understand exactly why this is known as a top samgyetang spot in Bucheon! 🤤

Even the chicken breast was so tender that it pulled apart softly along the grain with just a light touch of the chopsticks. 🤤🤤

Ask and Oi Samgyetang brings a tasting bottle of ginseng wine

If you ask, they'll bring you a tasting portion of ginseng wine in a dojigi (traditional earthenware) bottle — about 5–6 glasses' worth — and you can add an extra bottle for ₩5,000, so keep that in mind if you enjoy a drink with your meal! 🍶

The chicken, soaked through with the rich mung bean broth, exploded with savory flavor — delicious dipped in just salt, and just as good with the ssamjang (seasoned dipping paste)! 😊

There's a genuinely generous amount of mung bean porridge packed inside the samgyetang, and this is truly the hidden gem! ⭐ It's savory and deeply flavored with the broth soaked in, making it really filling.

Top the savory mung bean porridge with a piece of well-ripened kkakdugi, and you've got the best combination — no words needed~!

Munching on crisp, cool cucumber and chili peppers between bites of samgyetang made for a nice, refreshing way to enjoy the meal.

With the large chicken pieces and all that mung bean porridge, the portions are so generous that you might have leftovers — in that case, just ask a staff member for a to-go container and they'll pack it up neatly for you! 😇

The chicken was so tender it melted in my mouth, and the savory mung bean porridge was delicious too — I really got my nourishment this time.
