Indoor things to do in Jeju with kids: punch game at Theme Park Toon

In short

Theme Park Toon is an indoor interactive theme park on Eunsu-gil in Jeju City. Visiting in the morning with a child, the family covered all three floors — AI photo-to-cartoon conversion on floor 1, a face-recognition punch machine and gorilla photo zone on floor 2, and character coloring on floor 3 — and a night market runs right next door every day. Theme Park Toon is an easy indoor stop to add to a Jeju family trip when the weather turns.

Where is Theme Park Toon in Jeju, and how much is admission?

Theme Park Toon is an indoor interactive theme park at 69 Onsu-gil, Jeju-si. Admission is ₩18,000 for adults, ₩16,000 for teens, and ₩13,000 for children, with 2 hours free parking included. It's a place that opened near my home recently, so I'd been curious about it, and I finally had the time to visit with my kid. There's a night market right next door that runs every day, so if you come in the evening you can check that out too.

Now let's get into the story of visiting Theme Park Toon with my kid!

After parking, you follow a forest path and the Theme Park Toon building appears.

Floor 1: the entrance and the AI photo-to-cartoon experience

The moment we stepped into Theme Park Toon, a huge book appeared. You enter through the black part in the middle of the book.

Once inside, it said it had been waiting for us haha.

Roar! My kid imitating the wolf at the entrance. Already thrilled by the cute characters, it seemed.

AI performance is really good these days, right? It's especially great at editing photos and drawings. Right at the entrance there's an experience that turns your photo into a drawing, so we tried it right away. When I asked my kid which art style to choose, they said let's go with the dramatic one on the left.

Kids can stand on the chair with their shoes on to take the photo. Thanks to that, we could take it comfortably! What will the drawing turn out like? Too embarrassing, so I'll mosaic it out haha.

Wow! It really captured our features! It made my husband and me look younger, which made me happy haha. My kid is cuter in real life though! After looking around floor 1, we headed up to floor 2.

Floor 2: the face-recognition punch machine and gorilla photo zone

On floor 2 of Theme Park Toon, there's a punch machine that recognizes your face and puts it onto a character. But it's kind of a funny setup haha. You punch to save the character, and since my husband and kid were watching, I wanted to do well. Honestly I didn't score that high though. My wrist ached a bit.. moms with weak wrists, hold back on the punching haha.

There's also a photo zone with gorilla footage playing, and I wanted to get a cute shot of my kid there, but they got scared so we couldn't take one. The video quality was actually pretty good though! Then we went up to floor 3.

Floor 3: character coloring, my child's favorite part

What my kid liked best at Theme Park Toon was the floor 3 character coloring experience. A staff member explained it in detail — you pick a character, color it in, and then you can put the finished character onto the wall screen.

There are four characters to choose from. My kid and I picked the mouse, and my husband picked the bird.

You just color in whatever colors you want with your hand.

My husband said my mouse coloring was really funny haha.

It's actually pretty cute waddling around!

If you get close and touch it with your hand, it flies up into the sky. Then it comes back down. My kid found it so fun that they kept touching it.

Oh, that's the mouse from before! — petting it and all

My kid doesn't quite know these characters yet, but we still took photos with the Bread Barbershop friends.

Is Theme Park Toon worth adding to a Jeju family trip?

Theme Park Toon has plenty to see, plus a gift shop and a café. Since we visited in the morning and had to go for lunch, we didn't get to check out the café. Theme Park Toon seems like a solid place to visit in Jeju with kids. Being indoors, it's especially good on days with bad weather. If you come in the evening, you can also check out the night market. Do consider adding it to your course when planning a family trip.
