House wine and campfire marshmallows at Shashlik, a Masan skewer spot

Such a nice weekend~~~ ♥ Part 1 was Yangsan!! Part 2 is Masan~~~ hahahahahaha I'm the type who can't just stay home on weekends~~~ So off I went looking for the best views in Masan!! But first, gotta eat in Masan right?? I really love Masanhappo-gu!!! It's got this quiet, calm, atmospheric feel to it!!

Where is Shashlik Masan Branch, and when is it open?

Shashlik Masan Branch is a sea-view grill restaurant on the 2nd floor of 7 Deokdongnam 1-gil, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. Business hours are listed as daily 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, closed Tuesdays.

Wow~~~ Shashlik Masan Branch is literally a view restaurant! A camping restaurant, no joke ㅠㅠㅠ Being able to enjoy delicious food with this kind of view without actually going camping!!! I'm so happy ♥

The 2nd-floor terrace with a campfire and hammocks

At Shashlik Masan Branch, you just park anywhere convenient below and head up to the 2nd floor. Sea view plus a bonfire option, full of camping-vibe interior!!

There's a bonfire the kids will love too~~ and the atmosphere is so, so good!!

And also~~ haha at Shashlik Masan Branch there's a hammock the kids will really love!! So many different bits of interior for both adults and kids to relax in~~ the hammock vibe is so healing :)

The view is really so good~~ it just clears your head!!! Already in a great mood, I head inside toward the shashlik!!! Since it's not a common menu, I was really looking forward to it!!!

The interior inside was done up warm and cozy too~~ natural but clean, giving off this modest, relaxed feel~~~ I visited during a late lunch hour so it was quiet, which was really nice!!!

They told us the inner seats were cooler, so we sat inside!!!

When can you use the campfire at Shashlik Masan Branch?

At Shashlik Masan Branch, the bonfire is available from evening on weekdays and from daytime on weekends!! They also run a monthly event, and in September you get 2 pieces of marshmallow~~~ You can finish your meal, roast them, relax, and head out!!

Great for a date too~~ but honestly the item the kids like best!! haha

What two adults ordered

The main menu is here!!! We weren't super hungry so we decided to order a bit of everything!!

• 1 special shashlik
• 1 shashlik fried rice
• 1 house wine
• 1 drink

This amount is good for 2 adults, or 2 adults plus 1 kid!!! The fried rice is spicy so it's really really good, but kids might struggle with it, so I recommend ordering hetbahn (instant rice) for them!!

There are various plates and menu items, so order whatever you need~~ If you come for dinner, the truffle plate seems like a good choice!!!

Garlic sauce and house wine

First they set up sauces and side dishes~~~ I love how many different sauces there are!!!

And then out come the small plates and the house wine~~~~ wow!! It's been so long since I had wine~~ so good~~~

Give it a little swirl before drinking~~~ ah~~ savoring it, it was a real healing moment haha. I wonder how well it'll pair with the shashlik...?? ㅠㅠ

Special shashlik: one platter of charcoal-grilled skewers

After a short wait, out comes the special shashlik with its own burner!!

Wow~~~~~~~ It's a plate loaded with a mix of chicken and other meats, grilled together with bell pepper, mushroom, and onion!!

The chicken was so tender and savory that everyone, kids and adults alike, ate it up~~~ Since it's charcoal-grilled it has that smoky char, and dipped in sauce it was really, really delicious!!! Pairing it with the grilled pineapple and vegetables made it feel easier to digest too ㅠㅠ I totally fell for shashlik's charm!!!

You just dip the meat right in the sauce~ most of the sauces are on the spicy, fiery side so I'd recommend kids eat theirs plain!! All the sauces were good but that garlic sauce became my absolute favorite~~ it's really, really good ㅠㅠㅠ

Dipping the various meats in sauce with a glass of wine on the side made this place feel like paradise on earth~~~

Set up the vegetables and meats and dig in~~ the portion was honestly better than expected, so try it first and then order more if you need to!!

Cheesy shashlik fried rice for 5,000 won

It was so good we finished it right away!! If you're planning to order the fried rice, leave a bit of the vegetables and meat behind so they can make it for you~~ Do this and you'll get a really delicious, spicy fried rice~~

This visual for five thousand won!! No reason not to order it right?? haha And with cheese on top it's honestly so moving ㅠㅠㅠ

They fold the rice over from both sides to make a cheese mound~~~ and then, scoop~~~

Cheese stretching everywhere!!! The spicy, fiery, savory, chewy fried rice was also gone in no time~~~

September event: roasting two marshmallows over the campfire

When you pay on your way out, the owner hands you a skewer with 2 pieces of marshmallow~~~ Even dessert is covered, it's the best!!! Shashlik Masan Branch really is the best~~

Turn it over the bonfire slowly on all sides~~ and you get this delicious roasted marshmallow!!!
