Today I want to introduce Eosiljang Sashimi Takeout, a sashimi takeout spot in Yangyang. I loved how the assorted sashimi came with a variety of seafood, vegetables, and sauce all packed together for easy eating. Here's my honest review of a really generous order at Eosiljang!

Where is Eosiljang Sashimi Takeout, and is there parking?
Eosiljang Sashimi Takeout is close to Solbeach in Yangyang and makes for a convenient stop alongside other Yangyang spots like Hajodae and Surf Beach. After packing up your order you can head to the nearby coast and enjoy the sashimi with an ocean view, which makes it a great stop during a Yangyang trip.
There's parking space right in front of the store, so even for a quick stop to pick up your order, you don't have to worry about finding a spot.
Inside Eosiljang: a waiting area that looks out on the sea

Takeout-only shops usually mean less time spent inside, but since it's still a food establishment, cleanliness matters — and Eosiljang gave off a well-kept impression the moment I walked in, which was a great first impression.

The waiting area was spacious, so I could wait comfortably while my order was packed, and best of all, the pretty ocean view out front made the wait fly by.

I had reserved ahead before visiting, and arriving right on time meant I could pick up quickly — really convenient for fitting into the middle of a travel itinerary — and the packaging was done carefully too!
Eosiljang Sashimi Takeout menu and prices

The sashimi menu is organized by number of people, and there's even a single-portion assorted sashimi, which would be great for enjoying with a solo drink. They also have seafood sides, mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), spicy fish stew, and a sashimi rice bowl. Leave a review and you get one free abalone.
What comes in the assorted sashimi for two (50,000 won)

The assorted sashimi for two (₩50,000) can include halibut, marbled flounder, rockfish, sea bream, sea bass and more, depending on what's available that day. I chose the assorted option because I wanted to try a bit of everything.

Opening up the package, I loved how neatly everything was arranged. Sesame leaves, seaweed, peppers, sauce — everything needed to eat the sashimi right away was included, so I didn't have to prep anything myself.

It wasn't just sashimi either — abalone sashimi, sea squirt, shrimp, and whelk were all included too, so there was fun in picking through each one, and it felt like great value.

How thick was the sashimi, and how did it taste?
Overall the sashimi wasn't cut thin — it had a nice sense of thickness. You could really feel the texture with each bite, and that signature chewy freshness of good raw fish came through clearly. The more I chewed, the more I could slowly enjoy the texture and clean flavor.

Since the assortment changes based on the day's supply, it was hard to tell exactly which fish was which, but each piece had its own slightly different texture, from soft and clean to firmer and chewier — which made it fun to pick and choose as I ate.

Above all, there was no fishy smell at all — everything felt clean and the sashimi was clearly fresh, which was very satisfying.

Abalone, sea squirt, shrimp and whelk in the same box
What I personally liked was getting to try a variety of seafood, not just sashimi. The abalone sashimi had a nice crunchy texture, which was a good change of pace between bites of soft raw fish.

The sea squirt was full of freshness and that signature ocean scent, and the shrimp and whelk were chewy and delicious too. A sashimi-only order would already be good, but for anyone who especially loves seafood, this combination is even more satisfying.
