Wondering what to eat for lunch nearby, I went with a coworker to a pork cutlet restaurant in Yongsan~! It's near the Yongsan Health Sub-center intersection!

Onjeong Gyeongyang Sikdang, Yongsan branch is in the Yongsan Richensia building! There's a Kkanbu Chicken right next door. There are a lot of offices nearby so it gets crowded at lunchtime~~

Is there a wait at Onjeong just past 1pm on a weekday?

I went a little past 1pm on a weekday, just after the peak lunch rush, so luckily it wasn't too crowded! I could go in right away. Overall it was clean and felt well maintained!

Mostly 2-person and 4-person tables, and there were quite a few solo diners too!! If you're stuck on what to eat alone for lunch in Yongsan, come to Onjeong~~

There's a separate self-serve bar, so you can help yourself to more of the side dishes! Very convenient. You know the etiquette — take only as much as you'll eat, right?!

Onjeong menu prices and how kiosk ordering works

Western-style pork cutlets start at ₩13,000, and udon and soba dishes come in around ₩9,000! For this price in the heart of Yongsan, I thought it was pretty reasonable~

What comes with a cutlet: mushroom soup, doenjang soup and mini bread

I really love mushroom soup..! It was so savory and delicious. Move aside, Outback soup.

Diced radish kimchi and pickled radish came out together, along with doenjang (soybean paste) soup~~

Rice comes too, but here mini bread comes with a little strawberry jam~~! Having the jam in a small individual portion made it feel even more hygienic to eat!

Cheddar cheese pork cutlet: the cheese arrives as a sauce

The dish I ordered came out first! The cheddar cheese pork cutlet! Can you see how the cheddar cheese is poured all over it like a blanket?!

You can really enjoy that rich, savory flavor of melty cheddar cheese to the fullest~! They really didn't hold back on the sauce! Note that this isn't cheese stuffed inside the fried cutlet — the cheddar cheese comes as a sauce on top~!

Curry pork cutlet: two extra-large pieces

This is the curry pork cutlet! You get two genuinely huge pieces of pork cutlet, enough to fill up even a grown man~~ The curry cutlet also comes with plenty of sauce, so you can keep it saucy right to the last bite~

The side dishes that came with it were the same as before. Even one cutlet was plenty of food, so my coworker and I really left stuffed after lunch!!

Parking and restrooms at Richensia Building B

You can park at Richensia Building B and get 2 hours of parking support! The restroom is inside the building!! Very clean.

Verdict: old-school Western-style pork cutlet taste in Yongsan

If you're looking for a good pork cutlet spot near Hyochang Park Station in Yongsan, give this place a try!! These days there are so many dedicated tonkatsu-only shops, but it's hard to find this old Western-style pork cutlet — eating it again after a while, it tasted exactly like the Western-style pork cutlets I used to eat in front of school~~!

Had a delicious pork cutlet meal in a clean space. Would visit again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
