Goyang bakery café with pandoro and hazelnut ambutter: Baedagol

In short

Baedagol Bakery House is a three-story garden bakery café on Hoguk-ro 1121beon-gil in Deokyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. After a meal, I stopped by with a friend for an iced Americano with walnut bread, hazelnut ambutter (a red bean and butter bun) and pandoro, then looked around the rooftop benches and the sand play area. With parking lots 2 and 3 on top of the main lot, Baedagol Bakery House is an easy place to slow down surrounded by greenery.

Where to talk after a meal in Goyang: Baedagol Bakery House

After finishing a meal with a friend, we were trying to figure out where to go for a bit more relaxed conversation, and that's how we ended up at Baedagol Bakery House, a place tucked into nature.

From the moment the three-story building came into view, my eyes went straight to the surprisingly grand natural scenery spreading out around it. It felt like stepping into a secret garden hidden in the middle of the city♡ Cute little props and benches are scattered here and there, so it's fun to wander slowly, and the atmosphere is comfortable for relaxing over bread and coffee.

What I liked most about Baedagol Bakery House was the wide-open natural space. It felt less like a café where you just enjoy bread and coffee indoors, and more like a place where you get to take in the surrounding scenery too.

Cute little props blend naturally into the setting, and there are benches scattered around where you can sit and rest for a while.

A great atmosphere for stepping away from a busy day and chatting while looking out at nature♡ It seemed like a nice spot to visit with friends, go on a date with a partner, or take the family out for an outing with kids.

Baedagol Bakery House also has thoughtful touches for visitors with families.

Baby chairs are provided, and there's a sand play area where kids can have fun, so it looked comfortable to visit with young children too.

I was struck by the fact that there's a space where kids can spend their own time while the adults enjoy coffee and bread at the café. Maybe because of that, it felt less like a café where you just grab a coffee and leave, and more like a place families can linger in at ease.

There are also benches on the rooftop, so it seemed like a nice idea to sit facing the wide-open natural view and soak in some relaxed time.

What we ordered: bakery picks and an iced Americano

Now, time to actually pick some bread! ♡ What I ordered was an iced Americano, walnut bread, hazelnut ambutter, and pandoro.

Iced Americano with walnut bread, hazelnut ambutter, and pandoro

First, the iced Americano paired well with the bread. It was one of those days where I wondered if coffee after a meal could really taste this good!

And the walnut bread I enjoyed so much — the savory walnut flavor blended with a subtle sweetness, and the combination was quite good. The savoriness in each bite went really well with the coffee too.

Hazelnut ambutter: crisp outside, red bean and butter inside

One of the menu items that personally stuck with me was the hazelnut ambutter (bread stuffed with butter). The signature crispiness of the baguette combined beautifully with the butter.

On top of that, the savory flavor of hazelnut added even more fun to each bite. Crispy on the outside, with the soft taste of butter melding in on the inside — if you like ambutter, this one's worth trying at least once.

Pandoro, dusted snow-white with sugar

And then there was the pandoro that caught my eye.

Pandoro piled high with white powder

It was piled high with white powder like a mountain covered in fresh snow, so the visual alone was striking. At first I thought it looked pretty sweet, but once I tasted it, it was surprisingly mild! Despite the flashy look, it wasn't overly sweet, so I could eat it without feeling weighed down. That made it a great match with coffee too.

A relaxed spot for a long chat after lunch

That day, I visited Baedagol Bakery House after eating with a friend. With bread and coffee in front of us, we chatted about this and that, and before I knew it, quite a bit of time had passed.

Even without doing anything special — just looking out at nature, sharing a piece of tasty bread, and chatting comfortably — it was more than enough to make for an enjoyable time.

With how busy daily life can get these days, this kind of unhurried time to just stay put feels even more precious. Baedagol Bakery House felt like a good place not just for enjoying bread and coffee, but for finding on a day when you want to rest in nature for a while.

There isn't just one parking lot either — lots 2 and 3 are available as well, so parking pressure was low.
