A few days ago I went to a café with great vibes in Wangsimni. I really love taking time to sit down for a coffee at a café — especially ones that feel warm and cozy 🫶🏻 Eojil In, the place I visited, had exactly that kind of atmosphere.

Where is Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch, and what are the hours?
Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch is located on the 1st and 2nd floors at 18 Majo-ro 9-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It's close to Wangsimni Station Exit 6. It's open daily from 09:00 to 22:30, with last order at 22:00.

What's on the bakery menu at Eojil In
The bakery selection at Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch was really varied — financiers, madeleines, cakes, and more. Doesn't the bakery display look delicious?

Happy dilemma over what to eat 🤔 The madeleines especially were so pretty it almost felt a shame to eat them. There were several flavors too — lemon, vanilla, Earl Grey, chocolate, and more.

They also come in pretty boxes that would make a nice gift.

This is Eojil In's signature Basque cheesecake.

🌱 What I ordered
- Café milk ball
- Café latte
- Earl Grey madeleine, Dojima roll, Valrhona chocolate financier
That's what I ordered.
What are the first and second floors of Eojil In like?
Café Eojil In was quite large, spread across the 1st and 2nd floors. It's clean and comfortable. And from the moment you open the door, it feels warm. Café Eojil In had a variety of seating, from tables for 1–2 people to group seating. There were chairs and sofas of different types, so you could sit however suited your taste. The sunlight coming through the window was so pretty I snapped a photo 😌

There were books on the 1st floor, so I picked one out for myself.

I went up to the 2nd floor.

The 2nd floor also had a warm atmosphere. Café Eojil In had pretty little decor pieces tucked into every corner.

Overall, Café Eojil In felt cozy and comfortable. ☕️ The kind of atmosphere that's good for chatting over coffee, or the kind that makes you want to sit alone and read a book you love. I visited on a weekday morning, so it was quiet — really nice for talking over a coffee.

How the café milk bowl and desserts at Eojil In tasted
My order arrived. Good coffee and bakery goods first thing in the morning 🫶🏻 Pure happiness!

The café milk ball is Café Eojil In's signature menu item. It's made with Baekmidang and Poolbasset ice cream. As a signature item should be, it was delicious — how could that combination not be good, haha. I especially liked the generous amount of ice cream. The coffee was great too, of course. If you come to Eojil In, I'd recommend the café milk ball.

Mornings have gotten pretty chilly now, so I ordered a warm café latte — and a rich café latte with an Earl Grey madeleine and chocolate financier is just love 😉 The café latte was rich and nutty and delicious. This is the Kyoto travel book I brought over from the 1st floor. Sipping warm coffee while looking at pretty photos of Kyoto brought back memories of a Kyoto trip I took a while back.

The Valrhona chocolate financier was coated in chocolate, giving it a great sweet-and-salty combo. Desserts that are pretty just to look at!

The Earl Grey madeleine also had a nice strong Earl Grey aroma along with the butter flavor.

The Dojima roll was tasty too, and the fresh cream especially was really good! Recommended if you love fresh cream.
When is the best time to visit Eojil In?
Café Eojil In's warm, cozy atmosphere made the whole visit comfortable and enjoyable 😊 Plus great coffee and desserts! Next time I'll have to try the Basque cheesecake, Eojil In's signature dessert I missed out on this round. Visiting in the morning especially made it feel relaxed, which was a plus. If you like a relaxed atmosphere, I'd recommend a morning visit. I want to come back again sometime, alone, with a favorite book in hand.
