Songpa cake shop bridal shower cake with pearl accents: Circus Rabbit

Hello, Dotori readers! Today I'm sharing a bridal shower cake review that combines a small sponsorship from my dear friend and my own money. The studio had lots of sample cakes on display, but I still wanted to gift a cake with lettering made just for my friend!

Where is Circus Rabbit and how do you order a cake?

Circus Rabbit is a handmade lettering cake shop at B2-10, B1F Jangmi Jonghap B Sangga, 112 Olympic-ro 35-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It's open Tuesday 12:00-16:00 (break 14:00-14:45) and Wednesday to Saturday 10:00-16:00, closed Sundays and Mondays, with last orders at 15:30. On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, unmanned pickup is available until 21:00. You can reserve through Naver Reservation or consult via the Kakao Talk channel, and parking is available at the Jangmi Jonghap Sangga lot.

If you're fine with an existing design or something simple, you can just book easily through Naver. But if you want a special custom design or changes to an existing one, you sort it out through a Kakao Talk channel consultation! Even though they must be busy, they patiently sent me design after design and consulted kindly, which made deciding so much easier for me — an indecisive person — and I placed the order quickly!

After-work unmanned pickup: finding Circus Rabbit inside the shopping complex

I visited after work, so I went during Circus Rabbit's unmanned hours! Since the shop is inside Jangmi Jonghap Sangga, finding it was a bit tricky, but the owner sent photos and even a video of the way there, so I made it through the maze-like complex without getting lost. Honestly, seeing that level of explanation touched me 🥹 Follow the photos and video and you won't have to worry about getting lost — and honestly, when I was looking around confused, a shop staffer nearby asked where I was headed and pointed me right there, haha.

In front of the shop entrance there was a menu board showing the shop's signature designs! The lunchbox cakes were affordable and so pretty — perfect for ordering next time I need something simple. There were more special cakes on the back page, so it's worth browsing while you're there!

In front of the shop there's a locked fridge, and my cake was safely stored inside! To avoid mixing it up with other orders during pickup, they wrote the orderer's name and the last digits of the phone number on the front, so you can double-check before taking it :)

Just looking at the cakes inside the fridge was so lovely ♥️ There were pretty candles ready on the top shelf too, so if you need them, you can just grab them unattended!

The white cake with pink lettering and pearls on the bridal shower table

The Circus Rabbit cake came together with a white base, pink lettering, and pearl accents. After rushing to order it that morning, I brought the cake out at the start of the bridal shower party, and with the white base and pink lettering, it was so cute! Since they're clearly a lettering specialist, the handwriting itself was gorgeous 👍

Once it was on the prepared bridal shower table, it really proved that the cake completes the bridal shower! Props aside, having a one-of-a-kind cake with my friend's name on it made everything look even prettier. White and clean really is the best choice for a bridal shower cake!

No matter which angle I look from, the lettering is just so well done...! With the pearl accents, it was a perfectly tailored bridal shower cake.

After shooting indoors, we also did an outdoor shoot, and holding the cake while photographing it looked so pretty! The clean yet cute vibe suited my friend so well that we ended up taking 500 photos, haha.

Why Circus Rabbit is worth it for a bridal shower cake in Songpa

Thanks to the Circus Rabbit cake, both the mood and the photos of the bridal shower were instantly upgraded. Being in Songpa made it easy to access, and best of all, the unmanned pickup gave me much more flexible pickup hours than other places, so stopping by after work was no burden at all!
