Friday-night dessert café in Wangsimni: churro financier at Eojil In

Today I'm bringing you a handmade dessert spot near Wangsimni Station! This is a place I've been to more times than I can count haha. Whenever I'm heading to a café near Wangsimni, it always seems to start with Eojil In! Both the coffee and the desserts are just that good haha.

Friday at 7:30 pm: are there tables left at Eojil In?

I visited around 7:30 pm on a Friday! There were so many people that day too, and I barely managed to grab the one and only table left ㅠㅠ Even after I sat down, people kept coming in and out nonstop. This place is seriously popular haha.

It's already packed on weekdays, but on weekends there's basically guaranteed to be a wait — that's how popular this café is! The café goes up to a second floor, and the seats up there are much more spacious, so it can fit quite a lot of people! There are a few tables with long shared seating too, and I saw quite a few students studying there. It's not a super loud atmosphere, so it seems like a good spot for studying too haha.

Inside the Eojil In dessert case: financiers and madeleines

Every time I come, I always order a dessert alongside my drink — either a financier or a madeleine, without fail haha. Besides those, there are all kinds of other desserts too.

I really love chocolate desserts, so I often order the chocolate financier too haha.

For madeleines too, chocolate is the best flavor to me...haha.

They also have gift sets! They pack them separately in pretty boxes, so it seems perfect for buying as a dessert gift haha. If you're looking for a café or bakery near Wangsimni Station, I really recommend Eojil In!!

They also have Basque cheesecake, matcha Basque cheesecake, roll cake, and more! I've never tried the Basque cheesecake, but looking at other tables, a lot of people seem to order it. I'll have to try that next time haha.

The smaller "Little Eojil In" branch nearby

There's also a smaller Eojil In near the main one, and it seems to sell only bakery items! A small lineup of Little Eojil In's baked goods was on display haha.

They give you a salt bread if you leave a review... I definitely need to check this place out next time too haha.

Where the restroom, water and straws are

The restroom is outside the café, but it was clean and easy to use!

Water and straws are set up right by the front counter, so you can just grab them freely.

My friend got an Americano, and I got a café latte. The coffee has no acidity and a really nutty flavor! It's so delicious,,ㅠㅠ

I've eaten so many chocolate desserts here that I've lost count, and they're genuinely delicious haha. When you're craving something sweet, this is a must! And this time I tried the churro financier for the first time — it was really good too?? My friend said it was the best one haha.
