Anyang galbi restaurant with gat-kimchi and takeout: Sannae Sutbul
In short
Sannae Sutbul Galbi Bakdal Branch is a charcoal-grilled seasoned pork galbi restaurant in Bakdal-dong, Manan-gu, Anyang, Gyeonggi. On this repeat visit the meal was 2 servings of pork galbi with doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), rice and naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), and one serving of 250g costs 15,000 won, good enough that 2 more servings went home as takeout to grill. The gat-kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi) and the cabbage salad with wasabi were the standouts, and the wide dining room at Sannae Sutbul Galbi handles family meals and group dinners with no trouble.

There's a pork galbi place in Bakdal-dong I end up craving every so often haha. I had a great meal at Sannae Sutbul Galbi last time, and this time I went back again. Since I'd already been once, it felt extra welcoming somehow. You know a repeat visit basically means the taste is guaranteed, right?

What is the dining room like at Sannae Sutbul Galbi Bakdal Branch?
Sannae Sutbul Galbi Bakdal Branch has a clean interior with generously spaced tables, so it seemed like a fine spot for a family meal out or a group dinner. Honestly, whether I go back to a grill house usually comes down to taste, and the pork galbi I had last time was good enough that a revisit felt like a safe bet. The staff were friendly too, which made for a comfortable meal.

The menu!
We ordered 2 servings of pork galbi, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), rice, and naengmyeon (cold noodles).

The side dishes at Sannae Sutbul Galbi, and why the gat-kimchi stood out
One thing I really liked on this revisit to Sannae Sutbul Galbi Bakdal Branch was the standard banchan (side dishes). I loved that they use domestic ingredients, and everything came out looking clean and well-made overall. Out of everything, the gat-kimchi was genuinely delicious this time. Eating a bite of gat-kimchi between bites of meat cuts through the richness and keeps you reaching for more haha. Good kimchi and side dishes at a grill house matter more than people think, and this place was exactly my style.

Charcoal pork galbi for two: 250g per serving at 15,000 won
The main event again was Sannae Sutbul Galbi's pork galbi. Once it's laid over the charcoal and grilled golden brown, the sweet marinade scent mixes with the smoky charcoal aroma and gets your appetite going before you've even taken a bite.

The well-grilled galbi was tender, and the marinade wasn't overly strong, so it went great with rice. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up packing 2 more servings of pork galbi to take home. Revisiting and then taking food home on top of that — I think it's safe to say this place really suits our taste haha.

We ordered 2 servings and even with the grill piled full, there was still meat left over! 250g per serving, and it's ₩15,000? That's genuinely cheap, ugh.
I wonder if the owner has any margin left at that price.

The owner's tip: cabbage salad with wasabi
The owner told us their favorite way to eat it: cabbage salad + wasabi + meat. Wow, this combo is seriously so good.

As I mentioned, since all the banchan is made in-house with domestic ingredients, the flavor is clean as expected — and honestly, restaurants like this are hard to find these days.

Finishing the meal with naengmyeon this time
I didn't get to try the naengmyeon on my last visit, but this time I ordered it along with the meat at Sannae Sutbul Galbi. After charcoal galbi, you've got to finish with something cold and refreshing. A bite of meat followed by a bite of naengmyeon made for a clean palate cleanser. Especially after eating seasoned galbi, cold naengmyeon was the perfect way to wrap up the meal.

It was so good that we packed some to grill at home too!
Is Sannae Sutbul Galbi good for a family meal or a group dinner?
Sannae Sutbul Galbi has a fairly spacious dining room, so it's a good option for visiting with a group. I did see families there, along with group tables having a meal, so it seems like a good fit for anyone in Bakdal-dong looking for a grill house or a dinner spot for a get-together. Personally, I loved that not just the meat but the side dishes came out clean and well-made, and on this revisit I got to enjoy the gat-kimchi and naengmyeon too.
What was worth coming back for, plus takeout for two
This visit was a sponsored revisit, but since I'd already enjoyed the food here once before, going back felt easy and comfortable.
- Pork galbi full of charcoal aroma
- Clean banchan made with domestic ingredients
- The gat-kimchi, which was delicious
- Naengmyeon, which I tried for the first time this visit
- A spacious dining room good for family meals or group dinners
And most of all, we enjoyed the meal so much that we packed 2 servings of galbi to take home haha. I think a grill house you keep thinking about and want to visit again is a real hidden gem, rather than a one-and-done place, and I had a great meal here again this time. If you're in Bakdal-dong, Anyang and craving pork galbi, it's worth a visit 😊
