Ansan bakery café for chocolate baguettes: Degree Gojan Branch

While looking for a café in Gojan-dong, I found a bakery café with so many kinds of bread. It was Degree Gojan Branch! Since you can have coffee and bread together, it seemed like a great place for anyone looking for café desserts in Gojan-dong. Most of all, this place is known for its chocolate baguette. Seriously, you have to try the chocolate baguette.

Degree Gojan Branch location and parking

Degree Gojan Branch is at Units 103, 104, 105, and 109, Building A, 137 Gwangdeok-daero, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do. It is open daily from 07:00 to 24:00, and parking is available in the building.

You can park underground. It is a large building parking garage, so this is a café where parking is easy!

A spacious spot for studying or dates

The café is incredibly spacious. A big café in Gojan-dong, Ansan! I saw all kinds of visitors, from people studying at a café to people on dates.

A bakery selection that makes choosing fun

As soon as I entered, there were so many kinds of bread that I had trouble deciding what to choose.

With all sorts of breads ready to go, from croissants and baguettes to scones and sogeumppang (salt bread), it was a nice place to visit just for bread if you are looking for café desserts in Gojan-dong. Degree is actually a roastery bakery café run together by a roaster, barista, and baker.

Watermelon juice and chocolate baguette

The breads we chose were the chocolate baguette that is trendy these days and an almond croissant. For drinks, we ordered watermelon juice, a cream Americano, and an Americano.

The watermelon juice was seriously packed with watermelon! When I go to a café in summer, I tend to look for watermelon juice first. This was not simply a watermelon-scented drink; it had the rich, true flavor of watermelon, as if it were filled with real fruit. It was sweet and refreshing, and it went really well with the bread.

And the chocolate baguette—I really want to emphasize this one. Degree absolutely earns its reputation for chocolate baguettes! The baguette's distinctive texture with added chocolate flavor was so delicious.

Personally, the chocolate baguette was what I remembered most from everything I had that day. If you love chocolate, definitely choose one when you stop by here while searching for café desserts in Gojan-dong. I think I will have the chocolate baguette again next time, too.

Almond croissant and coffee

We ordered an almond croissant as well. Its crisp croissant texture and the nutty flavor of almonds made it great with coffee. Degree also has a variety of croissants, so bread lovers would have fun picking one at a time.

For coffee, we ordered two kinds: a cream Americano and an Americano. The cream Americano, topped with smooth cream, was a good choice when I wanted my coffee sweet, while the standard Americano was clean and easy to drink with bread. An Americano really is the best match for sweet desserts.

Degree had so many kinds of bread. Beyond what I ordered, Degree Gojan Branch had quite a varied bakery selection.

With a wide range of bakery items including croissants, baguettes, sogeumppang (salt bread), and brioche, this did not feel like a one-and-done visit—I wanted to try other breads next time, too!!

For anyone looking for café desserts in Gojan-dong, this seems like a good fit when you want a bakery café where you can enjoy bread as well as coffee, rather than a coffee-only café.

My clear top pick of the day was the chocolate baguette! The watermelon juice also tasted truly full of watermelon, making it great to have together in summer, and the almond croissant with coffee made for a lovely, simple dessert break. More than anything, there were so many kinds of bread that I wanted to try other items one by one next time.
