Pyeongtaek large café with acacia flower tea and Marlenka cake: Sisup

Sisup is a large café near Pyeongtaek Lake in Sinwang-ri, Hyeondeok-myeon, Pyeongtaek. While driving around Pyeongtaek looking for a café with good vibes, I ended up at Sisup in Sinwang-ri. :)

It's a café near Pyeongtaek Lake, but the surrounding scenery was way prettier than I expected haha. True to its name (Sisup means "poetry forest"), it felt like it was tucked right against a forest, so it was a great spot to escape the busy city and heal for a bit ♥

What is the view from the Sisup terrace like?

The first thing that caught my eye at Sisup was the terrace right up against the mountain. The green scenery spread out in front of you, and it honestly felt like I'd gone camping somewhere far away. On a nice-weather day like this, spending time on the terrace instead of indoors sounded really appealing haha.

There were rice paddies spread out around it too, which made the view feel really relaxed :) It had a totally different feeling from a city café with tall buildings and busy roads — just sitting there looking at the scenery outside was enough to calm me down haha. Recommended if you're looking for a quiet, healing café near Pyeongtaek Lake!

Inside Sisup: interior and seating options

The inside of Sisup was bigger and more tastefully decorated than I expected. Plants were placed everywhere, giving it a natural feel, and the lighting was so pretty that I bet it'd feel just as nice on an evening visit or a cloudy day haha.

There were all kinds of seats set up, from solo spots to group tables for several people :) So if you're looking for a large Pyeongtaek café, it'd work great not just for dates but for visits with friends or family too haha.

Sisup's menu was pretty varied too — lots of choices from basic coffee to different kinds of tea, plus desserts like croffles and cakes as well as brunch, so it looked great for a light meal or for lingering over dessert!

How do the acacia flower tea and young persimmon leaf tea taste?

I was curious about the acacia flower tea and young persimmon leaf tea since they're a bit unusual, and once I actually tried them, they were so good haha. Since these aren't your typical tea options, even I — someone who usually just orders coffee at cafés — had fun trying them :) Recommended if you like teas with a subtle, mellow flavor!

Marlenka cinnamon cake and lemon cake at Sisup

The Marlenka cinnamon cake I ordered for dessert was delicious too — I already love Marlenka cakes, and the subtle cinnamon aroma with the sweetness paired really well with warm tea haha. The layered look of the cake was great too ♥

The Marlenka lemon cake had that distinct refreshing lemon flavor added in, giving it a totally different taste from the cinnamon cake! Both are sweet desserts, but since the flavor direction is different, it was fun to order one of each and compare while sharing :)
