I've been so busy lately that I barely get to eat out ㅜㅜ So I carved out some time and went with my boyfriend to a really delicious shabu-shabu place!! This is Syabudaum Songdo Amusement Park Branch, a hidden gem near Gu-Songdo haha.
The shabu course here made a really strong impression — the composition was generous, and the quality of the beef tendon shabu-shabu and grade 1 hanwoo was especially good, so it's somewhere I want to bring my family back to! Parking was easy and the space felt private and calm, so I had a genuinely happy meal ><

I could tell the owner really cares about this place. There was even a laser projection out front haha. Every corner of the restaurant was kept meticulous and clean.

Inside Syabudaum: the dining room and its three private rooms
We visited during a late weekday lunch! There was no wait, and with the wide windows open the atmosphere felt relaxed — I ended up just watching the trees sway outside haha.
The chairs were super comfortable, and the tables were wide too, so there wasn't a single uncomfortable moment during the meal.
What stood out most were the fresh flowers placed around haha. You could tell the owner really loves this place, and the pretty flowers gave off such a nice atmosphere. Right next to the kitchen, the kettles and dishware were also arranged neatly and caught my eye.
There are three private rooms in particular, which looked great for family gatherings. I'd love to have a family birthday party at Syabudaum next time!!!
And even outside the room-style seating, the tables were nicely separated by walls between them. There was no crossing of glances with the neighboring seats, which was really nice!!
How much is the shabu-shabu course at Syabudaum?

Syabudaum Songdo Amusement Park has a variety of menu options — shabu-shabu course meals, kalguksu (noodle soup) for lunch, set dinners, and sides like potato pancake! If you're an office worker looking for a good spot near Dongchun-dong, they have a great-value weekday-only kalguksu set for 15,000 won, so I recommend visiting before 2pm haha.

The course my boyfriend and I ordered in particular is something I definitely want to eat again with my family. The course composition was so generous, and the quality of the grade 1 hanwoo (Korean beef) blew me away..

What comes in the 5-part Syabudaum shabu course

Truffle hanwoo tartare carpaccio, eggplant and lotus root fritters, yuzu cheese salad, hanwoo beef tendon shabu-shabu, and finally porridge and signature dessert
Take a look at the shabu course photos first haha. The combination is really generous.

Beef tendon shabu-shabu and the grade 1 hanwoo upgrade
Let me write a more detailed review. When you order the shabu course at Syabudaum, they bring the shabu-shabu out first. Each table has instructions on how to enjoy it best.

We had booked through Naver Reservations, so the table setting was already laid out when we arrived. The side dishes were neat and the dishware looked really nice haha.
Since the beef tendon comes out first, you simmer it in the shabu broth first — the tendon pieces were large and generously portioned. The hanwoo Two Plus grade beef quality was also really great!!
They add the garlic and scallions to the prepared sauce for you at the start. The staff member was really kind haha.
The salad came with delicious cheese on top, drizzled with a yuzu sauce. The cheese texture was surprising and delicious.
The vegetables were also really abundant and varied. There was a generous amount of bean sprouts and greens, and lots of mushroom varieties too — oyster mushrooms, enoki, shiitake, and more.

The hanwoo Two Plus beef quality was so good it was delicious even lightly cooked.

The shabu-shabu visuals were so good.
In particular, the shabu-shabu broth wasn't spicy or harsh at all, which meant it paired really well with the garlic-heavy sauce. I genuinely want to eat this again. Totally recommend. The tendon was also tender and just melted.
Truffle hanwoo carpaccio and fried eggplant with lotus root
As the meal went on, the hanwoo carpaccio arrived. The truffle mayo on top had an incredible aroma.

It was a refreshing dish, so my chopsticks kept reaching for it. It really got my appetite going.
Next came the eggplant fritters — but it wasn't just eggplant, lotus root was mixed in too. I love lotus root, so having it thrown in as well made it even more delicious ㅠㅠ The frying was also very clean, with a Japanese-style finish!!
Finishing with porridge and Korean-grown kimchi
The last item was the main dish — by this point I was really full, but watching them skillfully prepare the porridge with such deft hands, I forced myself to make room for it. Because it genuinely looked delicious haha.
Egg went in, along with seaweed and tofu. A savory smell filled the air as the porridge was made.
The finished porridge was delicious — even though I was clearly full, it was light and tasty enough that I kept reaching for it. It pairs perfectly with the domestically made kimchi. Since this Gu-Songdo favorite, Syabudaum, makes its own kimchi in-house, the flavor is guaranteed!! I tried it myself and it was really delicious — it had that fresh geotjeori (freshly made kimchi) feel.

Syabudaum's signature ice cream dessert
And finally, the last dessert — ice cream — arrived. Underneath the ice cream was puffed rice, which gave it a nice texture, and a beautiful butterfly-shaped cookie was placed on top, so I took a ton of photos. There was tasty red bean on it too, and I thought the combination worked really well. Being able to end the meal with a light ice cream made for a happy dining experience haha.

If you're looking for a course meal, I highly recommend Syabudaum Songdo Amusement Park Branch as a lunch spot near Ongnyeon-dong. It really felt like the owner puts a lot of care into the place. Even the counter was thoughtfully and neatly arranged.
Is the Syabudaum weekday lunch course worth it?
Syabudaum, a favorite near Songdo Amusement Park in Incheon, has menu options that anyone — regardless of age or gender — can enjoy. In particular, I thought it was a perfect space for treating your parents to a course meal on a birthday or anniversary. With private rooms available too, it felt comfortable for a relaxed family meal. Everything was light overall, so I'd really recommend it for anyone who doesn't like heavy, stomach-taxing food 🖤
