Uijeongbu pork galbi restaurant, ₩11,000 weekday lunch: Manpo Galbi

Hi everyone :) it's Alttteuli. I recently had pork galbi near Uijeongbu Station, and today I'm sharing my visit to Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch. Not just the meat but the side dishes and meal menu were surprisingly solid, so I wanted to introduce it.

Where is Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu, and what are the hours?

Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch is at 11 Beomgol-ro 145beon-gil, 1st floor, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, close to Uijeongbu Station on the light rail line, so it wasn't hard to find. It's open daily from 11:00 to 23:00.

It's within walking distance from Exit 1 of Uijeongbu Station, so it's fine to visit by public transport too. Reservations are possible via Naver, and there are group seats and separate private rooms, so it looked good for family meals or gatherings with several people.

How many cars can park at Manpo Galbi?

If you're visiting by car, you can use the parking spaces in front of and behind Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu. Free parking is available for about 7 cars total.

However, if there's no space left, you'll need to use nearby public parking lots, so keep that in mind. Even around noon on weekdays, the lot filled up fast, haha~^^;;

Inside Manpo Galbi: atmosphere and seating

The interior overall was clean, with table seating throughout. There are also group seats and private rooms, so you can enjoy a slightly more private meal for gatherings or company dinners.

Manpo Galbi menu and what we ordered

The menu at Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu includes the weekday lunch special galbi sotbap set, handmade LA galbi, handmade marinated galbi, beef brisket doenjang rice, and pudding-style steamed egg, along with gift wrap sets and a Naver receipt review event. I ordered the signature weekday lunch set for one and marinated pork galbi for two.

What was quite impressive here is that ordering galbi gets you a free Hamhung-style naengmyeon per person. You can choose between water naengmyeon and spicy mixed naengmyeon while eating, picking whichever suits your taste alongside the meat.

Side dishes at Manpo Galbi, including yukhoe (raw beef)

After ordering, the dishes started arriving one by one, and the table filled up faster than expected. Yukhoe (raw beef), potato salad, mushroom sweet and sour, japchae (glass noodles), gungchae namul, mu saengchae (radish salad), and wrap vegetables all came out together.

It was especially surprising that yukhoe came as a basic side dish. At most galbi restaurants, yukhoe is usually a separate order, so being able to try it without adding it on felt different. With so many kinds of side dishes, it was nice to mix things up rather than just eating galbi the whole time.

Weekday lunch galbi sotbap set for 11,000 won

The weekday lunch galbi sotbap set is ₩11,000 per person. Ordering the weekday lunch special galbi sotbap set gets you galbi sotbap (rice in a hot pot) and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew). Opening the lid of the sotbap reveals egg, chopped scallion, pickled radish, and galbi inside — mixing this rice, transferring it to a bowl, and mixing it with the doenjang makes it even tastier~

Charcoal marinated pork galbi, 16,000 won a serving: how did it taste?

The marinated galbi grilled over charcoal is ₩16,000 per serving. Finally, the main dish, pork galbi, arrived. Grilling it over charcoal sent up a savory aroma that really stirred the appetite. Cutting into the properly cooked meat, the marinade wasn't overpowering — more of a subtle sweet-and-savory flavor.

They say the galbi marinade includes fruit, and maybe that's why it felt less heavy than a marinade that's just sweet. It was tasty wrapped in lettuce with garlic and ssamjang, and refreshing eaten together with pickled onions — I kept reaching for more.

Free Hamhung naengmyeon (cold noodles) to finish

After the meat, cold noodles for dessert~!! To finish, the complimentary Hamhung-style naengmyeon arrived, with springy noodles that went well with the meat. Since the two of us were already quite full, I added just one water naengmyeon.

The water naengmyeon's broth felt clean and refreshing in the mouth, and the house-made noodles had a satisfying chew. Not having to pay extra to add naengmyeon after the meat was really satisfying 👍

Is Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu worth it?

What I felt visiting Manpo Galbi in Uijeongbu this time was that this is a place where you can enjoy a tasty, good-value lunch! The lineup from meat to side dishes to the meal menu was strong too~ so it seemed like a good pick for family meals out or finding a spot for a gathering.
