Gangnam Italian restaurant for group dining, 5 shared plates: Brivit

Hi everyone, this is your Nyam Nyam Guide! Haha. This time I visited Brivit, a great spot near Gangnam Station for a cheongmo (casual group meetup).

Exterior & interior atmosphere

Walking through the alley near Gangnam Station, you'll spot Brivit Gangnam's eye-catching pink exterior. It has a distinctly European feel that makes for great photos, and it wasn't hard to find.

Stepping inside, the wood-tone interior combined with green plants and warm lighting created a cozy atmosphere.

The vibe was clean yet relaxed, which suits looking for a Gangnam Station cheongmo spot or a good place for a group gathering :)

It's handmade gnocchi with a crispy-outside, chewy-inside texture, paired with a cream base using porcini mushrooms and shrimp. Sometimes gnocchi at Gangnam Station restaurants can lack that chewy texture, but here the gnocchi itself was really chewy.

The outside was slightly crisp and the inside was chewy, so the bite had real texture. Combined with the savory, smooth cream, I kept going back for more.

Jambon spicy risotto — fun with almond crunch

Second up is the jambon spicy risotto. The savory almonds in this dish were really appealing. The crunchy almond texture brought out the nuttiness while balancing the spice nicely.

Between the smooth cream sauce, you could taste the salty bacon, and with the hanger steak added, one plate felt quite hearty.

Spicy vongole oil pasta — plump clams

And the spiciest of the four dishes! It's the spicy vongole oil pasta.

If you like spicy flavors among pasta near Gangnam Station, this one will especially suit you. You first taste the specialty vongole oil's flavor, then the pepperoncino spice kicks in from behind, waking up your appetite.

Above all, the clams were really plump. The fresh clams had a springy texture that was fun to eat alongside the noodles.

If you're looking for seafood pasta near Gangnam Station, I'd recommend this one too. Thanks to the spice, it was also great to alternate with the cream dishes.

Greek yogurt & tomato salad as a palate cleanser

Since most of the main dishes were on the heavier side, we ordered the Greek yogurt & tomato salad together. If you're gathering as a group for cheongmo, adding a lighter dish like this is a good idea.

The refreshing tomato and Greek yogurt combo cleansed our palate in between bites. Eating this salad alongside the pasta and risotto made the whole spread feel much more balanced than just eating pasta and risotto alone.
