Euljiro3-ga restaurant with pretty tableware and a 12-seat table: Pyu

In short

Pyu Euljiro is a roughly 70-pyeong Western restaurant and café on the 1st floor of Tower107, by Euljiro3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Two friends catching up after a long time ordered three plates — mackerel pasta, garden tomato risotto and yuzu grilled chicken thigh — and none of the flavors overlapped, while the 12-seat table in the middle of the room and the pretty tableware stood out most. Pyu Euljiro is a good pick when you want a polished, non-casual space in Euljiro.

Pyu Euljiro is a Western restaurant on the 1st floor of Tower107, 27 Mareunnae-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. It's open 11:00–21:00, and parking is available in the Tower107 building — first 60 minutes free, then ₩1,000 per 10 minutes.

I was catching up with a friend in Euljiro after a while and looking for a place with a good vibe, so we tried Pyu Euljiro, which looked promising. The Euljiro3-ga area has a lot of small restaurants tucked into alleys, but this place is spacious and clean — perfect for a day when you want a bit of atmosphere.

It's an easy walk from Euljiro3-ga Station, so it pairs well with a café afterward. The restaurant also runs as a café, so you can stay on for coffee and dessert.

Inside Pyu Euljiro: the room and the 12-seat table

You walk into the building and a bit further in, the interior comes into view through a huge glass window. I didn't expect it to be this spacious — once inside, the space felt even bigger than it looked from outside.

The lighting throughout isn't too dim, just calm, which really brings out the atmosphere.

There's a large table in the middle that seats about 12 — the moment I saw it, I thought it would be perfect for a save-the-date gathering. The space is about 70 pyeong, and the tables aren't crammed together, so it'd work well for a blind date too!

Dinner requires a drink order: the three dishes we ordered

Pyu Euljiro notes that an alcohol order is required for dinner, so since we were visiting for dinner and drinks were mandatory, I snapped a photo of the drink menu. Worth keeping in mind if you're planning an evening visit.

We ordered

  • Yuzu grilled chicken thigh
  • Garden tomato risotto
  • Mackerel pasta

.

Ordered dishes served in Pyu Euljiro's pretty tableware

And the tableware and plates at Pyu are so pretty that beyond the food, it was fun just looking at the dishes.

What does the signature mackerel pasta taste like?

The mackerel pasta — it's labeled signature, so I was curious and ordered it! An oil pasta topped with mackerel felt a bit unfamiliar at first, but the combination was better than I expected. The mackerel was mild and tender, so eating it with the pasta added a nutty richness. In particular, it didn't have that strong fishy edge, so even people trying fish pasta for the first time could probably eat it comfortably.

Pressing the tender mackerel flesh together with the noodles

The mackerel flesh was soft enough to press gently with a fork or spoon and eat together with the noodles. The noodles weren't heavily seasoned, so the milder flavor paired even better with the fish.

A bite combining mackerel, arugula, and noodles together

It's best when you eat the mackerel, arugula, and noodles all together in one bite.

Garden tomato risotto with a barley-like bite

The garden tomato risotto was my favorite of the three! It has a tomato base topped with roasted vegetables, along with cheese mixed in.

There's that distinct tomato tanginess, and with the cheese it's not too light a flavor. In particular, the roasted tomato and eggplant went really well with the risotto. The rice wasn't mushy but had some bite to it — it reminded me of barley rice!! Barley!

Yuzu grilled chicken thigh, a 20-minute wait

Plate of yuzu grilled chicken thigh with root vegetables

Isn't the root vegetable garnish on top, the meat, even the plate itself just gorgeous? It's chicken thigh grilled over charcoal, served with a yuzu ponzu sauce. The chicken was tender rather than dry, and I liked the subtle charcoal aroma. On top of that, the yuzu sauce added a refreshing brightness to the chicken's mild flavor, making it feel clean to eat.

The yuzu sauce isn't a very intense style, so it paired nicely with the chicken. They said the cooking time is about 20 minutes — we ate the other dishes first, and it came out right on time!

How the three plates work together

The yuzu chicken was bright and mild, the tomato risotto was tangy and nutty, and the mackerel pasta was mild and savory — so even ordering all three together, the flavors didn't overlap much. If two of you are visiting, picking one dish each and sharing could work well too. (The two of us ordered all three! We left a bit over, haha.)

Is Pyu Euljiro worth a visit? Final thoughts

Overall the food was solid, but what I liked most was the atmosphere of the space. It feels like a good find in Euljiro when you want to eat somewhere a little more put-together than a casual spot — good for lunch with a friend, and it also seemed like a fine choice for a blind date or date spot in Euljiro.
