Hi! It's Hikung. I finally!!! did my wedding photoshoot, and since I had a whopping 4 hours planned at the studio plus Noeul Park, I searched hard and found 'Today Makeup' in Hongdae — close to Noeul Park, with great reviews and skill — for my wedding hair and makeup!!!

Inside Today Makeup: waiting area and dressing room

These are photos of the inside of Today Makeup. My first thought walking in was, whoa... the interior is so sleek and the space is so spacious??? There were 2-3 spots for hair and makeup, and since my boyfriend would finish first and have to wait, I loved that there were plenty of comfy sofas in the center for him to sit on ~.~ !!

Another thing I loved was that there was a separate space just for changing into the dress and suit! I could hang up my dress the moment I walked in, and after finishing hair and makeup, I could comfortably change into the dress and suit. The whole prep area was so well set up that everything felt easy ~.~

There were SO many kinds of cosmetics too ~! I'm not usually great at makeup myself, so seeing this many products lined up was oddly fascinating and fun to look at haha

The makeup process, from moisturizing to lashes

Today Makeup starts with careful basic moisturizing first! I mentioned that I have redness-prone skin, and they applied moisturizing cream thoroughly all over my face!

They put pads on too! They said adding pads like this cools down skin heat and helps the makeup base go on better haha. It felt like they were carefully caring for my skin step by step even before makeup started, which I loved !!!! 💟

And the artist doing my hair and makeup was so, so thorough, I was extremely satisfied !!!!! Since it was my first time getting lashes applied, I worried it might feel awkward or uncomfortable 😂 but knowing it was my first time, she had me close my eyes comfortably while applying them??? Honestly, there was zero discomfort, and the lashes looked totally natural, not awkward at all !!! (Golden hands, seriously...💛💛💛)

Makeup is all done at this point! Next comes the hairstyle I wanted ~.~

Bold waves and the order of getting into the dress

I asked for bold waves, and she carefully built root volume up top first, then created the waves beautifully without any heat discomfort !!

Watching the curls come together bit by bit was so fascinating? haha And then

• Hair & makeup completed
• Dress fitting
• Tone-up cream
• Stray hairs fixed with spray

was the order they followed! Especially for the dress fitting, having help beside me made putting it on so much easier haha

At the end, they packed extra lip portions for both bride and groom, so it was great to be able to reapply if the lip color wore off during shooting!

Thanks to Today Makeup, I was able to complete my wedding photoshoot smoothly! I highly recommend 'Today Makeup,' a Hongdae makeup studio near Noeul Park !!!! The price was reasonable, the artist's skill was great, and the dress-fitting help + tone-up cream + extra lip were all so satisfying that I want to book them again for my dress tour next time !!!
