Looking for a good place to eat in Gyodong, Daegu? This time I'm introducing Juyukjeom, a well-loved restaurant in Dongseongno known for its meat and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew). It's a spot that's earned a lot of fans.

The interior is also very clean and cozy, so you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly too, which made for a pleasant start to the meal.

Juyukjeom's menu is built around a variety of meat dishes. In particular you can enjoy red pork, black pork, red squid, grandma's potato chicken feet, black grilled pig's feet, red grilled pig's feet, plus hanjeongsik-style side dishes.

Prices vary too, split into 2–3 serving and 3–4 serving sizes, so there's plenty of choice. Looking at the menu, there are also special lunch options like various set menus, kimchi-roll noodles, bibim noodles, and egg noodles.

How does Juyukjeom's signature black pork taste?

One of Juyukjeom's signature menu items is the black pork.

With one bite, the juices burst out and a savory flavor spread through my mouth. The ingredients are so fresh it couldn't possibly taste bad. There's onion and mung bean sprouts underneath, and eating them together makes it even better^^

It's especially good eaten wrapped with the lettuce and greens served alongside the meat.
