Seoul Korean BBQ near Lotte World with a kid: Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang
In short
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch is a Hanwoo beef gopchang (grilled beef intestines), daechang and makchang restaurant on Olympic-ro 32-gil in Songpa, Seoul. After a day at Lotte World, two adults and a first-grader ordered three servings of beef gopchang at 19,000 won each plus noodles, which staff grilled at the table on a timer to be dipped in minari-and-garlic pickle sauce. Three parties were waiting but seating came quickly, and the price and service made Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang an easy Bangi-dong pick for a family meal.

We'd been to Lotte World and suddenly all I could think about was beef gopchang (grilled beef intestines). I searched for the best Bangi-dong beef gopchang spot and this place came up — and funnily enough, it was the exact place that had been sending out that ridiculously addictive smell whenever I walked past. Total fate, honestly.
We went to Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch, a Bangi-dong beef gopchang favorite, and I think anyone who visits will walk away very satisfied.

That good-restaurant feeling hits instantly — the smell alone is killer.

The posted hours say Monday to Thursday closes at 11pm, but it seems the hours may have shifted slightly since. Better to double-check before you go.

How long was the weekend wait at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang?
There were about 3 parties ahead of me — that's how popular this Bangi-dong beef gopchang restaurant is, so expect some wait. But we got seated faster than expected, which felt like total luck.
Inside Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch: seating and space
The restaurant is set up with round tables. It might be a bit much for very young kids, but going with an elementary schooler, we were pretty comfortable.

That bustling weekend energy — it's been a while since I felt that, and it was so nice. (Feels young in here, haha.)

There are windows too, so ventilation is no problem at all.
Menu and prices at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang in Bangi-dong
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch specializes in beef gopchang, daechang, and makchang.

Beef gopchang ₩19,000, beef daechang ₩19,000, beef makchang ₩20,000 (the prices are so generous...). With one first-grader and two adults, we ordered three servings of beef gopchang plus noodles. Steamed egg comes free, just so you know. (We ate until we were completely full.)

Why the minari-and-garlic pickle sauce makes the gopchang
The real standout at Jinseong Hanwoo is this sauce, loaded with minari (water dropwort). It's fully refillable too. The gopchang itself is delicious, but the sauce is so special and tasty that it kept things from feeling greasy — we could just keep eating.

Three house-made kimchis, with scallion kimchi to take home
You get to try a set of three house-made kimchis — scallion kimchi, mustard leaf kimchi, and altari radish kimchi — and the scallion kimchi is available for takeout too, just so you know. Perfect for pairing to your taste. This is definitely a place that doesn't hold back on portions.

I love a restaurant with this much confidence. Good prices, good quality, good service, good taste — there's no reason not to go.

Staff grill the beef gopchang at your table on a timer
Staff grill and cut everything for you, so we didn't have to lift a finger and could just relax and eat. (This is exactly why I love eating out.)

Since they use a timer to keep grilling times consistent, the taste stays consistent even if a different staff member is serving you, and diners always know exactly when to eat. It made me think this kind of attention to detail is what separates this place from beef gopchang restaurants that just grill carelessly. (I notice details like this, haha.)

Look how perfectly grilled that is (eek, I want more already). No bad smell at all, just the good kind.

This is the minari-garlic pickle sauce. The gopchang is nice and plump too.

Dip the well-grilled beef gopchang in the minari-scented sauce once, with chives another time, with kimchi another time — no chance to get tired of it, so we just kept ordering more. (Must... hold back...)
Noodles and kkakdugi fried rice for a first-grader
This noodle dish was also insanely good — what even is this?

I didn't expect much from the noodles we ordered for our kid, but is this secretly a noodle specialist too — it was seriously delicious. Other diners seemed to order the kkakdugi (radish kimchi) fried rice as a follow-up after their gopchang too. We passed since we'd already eaten so much gopchang... next time I definitely want to try the kkakdugi fried rice. The price is also unreal — ₩9,000.

Is Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang in Bangi-dong good with kids?
Even as I write this post, I can still picture that savory gopchang dipped deep into the minari-garlic pickle sauce. Some people assume gopchang is expensive or not very hygienic, but Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch is great value, clean, and the staff were so kind that the whole meal felt genuinely pleasant. Our elementary schooler ate really well, and my husband and I enjoyed it just as much. Definitely worth a visit — I'm sure you'll be satisfied too :)
