This week happened to be the week both my husband's and my daughter's birthdays fall in — so it's a week of eating a lot of cake! Since we were only going to have one, I wanted to eat it properly, so we headed to Siznique Shinsegae Department Store Daegu Branch, a cake spot our family visits often.

Siznique, located in the Sweet Park section on the basement floor of Shinsegae Department Store Daegu, has so many cakes made with seasonal fruit — peach cake, the famous mango farm cake, and right now, since it's fig season, fig cake too. It's a genuinely delicious cake spot. We visited around 2pm on a Sunday, and even when I've gone in late evening before, there were still cakes left, so it's a place I've often bought gifts from too!

The fig cake, which is truly in season right now. My daughter picked peach so that's what we ate, but this is a cake whose visual really makes you want to try it too!

Now let's cut the cake :) Even when sliced, the ratio of cake, cream, and fruit works so well together that the shape doesn't fall apart!

Even from this cross-section, you can see how plump and abundant the peach pieces are. My kid usually only wants to eat the peach when we get cake at other places, but because the milk cream isn't heavy, she ended up eating the cream really well too :)
We were very satisfied with Siznique, the Daegu cake spot in Shinsegae Department Store Daegu — my daughter asks to eat it even on days that aren't special at all, and our whole family genuinely loves this cake~ It holds up perfectly well as an everyday family dessert too! For special days and ordinary days alike, I really recommend the fruit cakes at Siznique, the Daegu cake spot ^^
