Yeouido rice bowl restaurant, beef belly deopbap with curry: Hurato
In short
Hurato Sikdang Yeouido is a Japanese restaurant specialising in gyukatsu (beef cutlet) and rice bowls on the 3rd floor of Yeouido Finance Tower in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. On a weekday evening Hurato Sikdang Yeouido was a full house, and two of us shared the woo-samgyeop deopbap (beef belly rice bowl) at 14,500 won with a 5,000 won curry add-on, where the smoky kkwarigochu peppers and the beef belly sauce stood out. Even skipping the gyukatsu, the rice bowls alone make this a satisfying after-work dinner stop in Yeouido.

Hurato Sikdang is a Yeouido gyukatsu and rice bowl restaurant where customers just kept streaming in — the kind of place office workers head to after clocking out.
Where is Hurato Sikdang Yeouido, and what are the hours?

Just ride the escalator up and it's easy to find. I visited on a weekday evening.

How the Catch Table waitlist works at Hurato Sikdang Yeouido
✅ Catch Table waitlist. You can join the wait through Catch Table. This place always has a line, so make sure to register the moment you arrive.

The day I went it was completely full. Clearly a hugely popular spot — and it felt like a lot of office workers in particular.

A real Yeouido office-worker favorite haha. If it's fully booked in Yeouido, that says it all, right? Inside felt clean and unfussy.

A calm, warm, Japanese-feeling restaurant. The vibe works whether you're eating alone or coming with someone.

Gyukatsu is the star menu here haha. Here's the hallway outside the restroom.

Hurato Sikdang's signature dish is gyukatsu. It's known as a gyukatsu specialty restaurant — delicious beef cutlets and steki made from good-quality beef. There are set menus too, and you can add extra gyukatsu! The lineup is pretty broad, from ebi katsu-don to woo-samgyeop deopbap to udon. They also have Kirin Ichiban draft beer!
What we ordered: beef belly rice bowl with a curry add-on

- Woo-samgyeop deopbap 14,500
- Curry add-on 5,000

My friend and I both ordered the woo-samgyeop deopbap (beef belly rice bowl). The basic set comes with the rice bowl, miso-style soup, side salad, and even an egg yolk to mix in — really thoughtfully put together.
Over the bean sprouts sit the beef belly and smoky-charred kkwarigochu (shishito-style green peppers). The beef belly sauce was so good that scooping up the fragrant charred peppers, the chewy savory beef, and the fluffy white rice together felt like heaven. Seriously delicious.

I didn't expect much since gyukatsu is the main draw here, but the moment we took a bite my friend and I both went 'Oh!!!?' haha. My friend demolished it in record time. It earns that reaction — the woo-samgyeop deopbap was really, truly delicious, a special kind of good. The kkwarigochu was the total kicker!

We added curry and shared it too haha. The curry was excellent as well!! Every place I've visited lately has been a hit. Hurato Sikdang's rice bowl was genuinely, surprisingly delicious haha. Recommended.
