Weekend evening terrace drip coffee at Waltz and Dr. Mahn, Namyangju

It's already been over two months since I visited Waltz and Dr. Mahn 😇 I kept thinking, I want to go again... I want to go again... and then this weekend, while out playing in Namyangju, the restaurant we had lunch at happened to be just a 10-minute drive from Waltz and Dr. Mahn ❗️ Of course I had to go again... 💕

Plus the friends I was with had really been wanting to visit Waltz and Dr. Mahn too, so the four of us happily drove over ✨ This is my super happy revisit review 💝

What the grounds of this large Namyangju café look like from outside

✔️This Namyangju large café, "Waltz and Dr. Mahn," has a spacious parking lot so parking was easy, and last time it was too cold to sit outside, but this time I got lucky and sat at the outdoor terrace seating 💖 It was a bit overcast since I visited in the evening, which was a shame, but the space was still so, so pretty ✨ My last review focused on the interior, so this time I focused on the outside 🤎 If you're curious about the detailed menu and interior info, check out my previous review 💝 📍

I visited around 5pm on a weekend evening and there was a short wait, so I took a little walk on the trail connected to the café before going in 🤎

The reason I feel so good every time I come to "Waltz and Dr. Mahn"... 🤎❤️ It's thanks to the staff who greet us warmly and kindly every single time, you know?

That day too, while we were standing around after the wait trying to figure out where to sit, the staff noticed us and said that since there were four of us, there was an even better spot, and guided us to a private terrace table... 💖

Why order drip coffee hot, not iced: the four cups we chose

"Waltz and Dr. Mahn" is famous as a café where you can enjoy a variety of drip coffees 🤎 Here, the staff strongly! recommend drinking it HOT rather than ICE 👏👏 They say the flavor comes through much better hot ✨ Even the two of us who are die-hard iced-coffee-only-in-winter people switched sides that day. We ordered four cups of hot coffee 💕

Jamaica Blue Mountain, 20,000 won, served in a 24K gold cup

✔️Jamaica Blue Mountain - ₩20,000. A mountain range runs east-west across the Caribbean island nation of Jamaica, and its highest peak is Blue Mountain. This top-tier bean has an exquisite balance of flavor and aroma, meant to be enjoyed straight — grown only in extremely limited quantities, it's said to be a genuinely top-grade single-origin coffee that's hard to find in Korea.

Served in an actual 24K solid gold cup, this Jamaica Blue Mountain... 💛🤎 It's grown in such tiny amounts that it's hard to find in Korea, and apparently over 70% of consumption is by Japanese buyers! According to my walking-encyclopedia friend, if you watch Japanese movies you'll often see scenes of people drinking this Blue Mountain coffee every morning ❗️ Those Japanese folks keep all the good stuff to themselves, huh? Ha. It was fragrant and rich, and the owner of the coffee enjoyed it so much 🤎

Ethiopia Mocha Harrar, 16,000 won: for anyone who likes acidity

✔️Ethiopia Mocha Harrar - ₩16,000. Grown in the Harrar region of Ethiopia in Northeast Africa, the birthplace of Arabica beans, this coffee has a distinct Arabian aroma that's supposed to have been loved by the French poet-genius Rimbaud. My friend who likes coffee with acidity ordered the Ethiopia Mocha Harrar... 🤎 The aroma is rich and the acidity is distinctive, so I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys coffee with brighter acidity 👍

Vienna coffee, 16,000 won, and its cinnamon stick

✔️Vienna coffee - ₩16,000. And the Vienna coffee I ordered... 🤍 The cinnamon stick that came with it was the kicker!

When you sip the cold, sweet whipped cream on top together with the hot coffee underneath in one go, it's basically a religious experience... 😇✨ Highly recommend if you like sweet coffee ❗️

Café latte, 15,000 won, for a friend who skips drip coffee

✔️Café latte - ₩15,000. The hot café latte ordered by my friend who isn't into drip coffee... 🤍🤎 "Waltz and Dr. Mahn" isn't just good at drip coffee — their regular coffee is just as delicious ❗️ The latte was rich and nutty, so my friend was very satisfied too ✨

The way every single coffee cup is antique and luxurious is another charm point of "Waltz and Dr. Mahn"... 💛🤍

As the sunset slowly rolled in, the atmosphere was even more insane... ✨

Is Waltz and Dr. Mahn worth the price? Why we'd return

The prices are a bit high, but for this kind of atmosphere, coffee quality, and service at this price? It's still cheaper than a hotel lounge, so I think it's reasonable 👏👏 That's my revisit review of "Waltz and Dr. Mahn" 💖
