Euljiro burger restaurant: bacon cheese vs double cheese at Daily Fix

My boyfriend and I heard Daily Fix Euljiro was a must-visit burger spot near Euljiro 1-ga Station, so we went on a weekend date.

Why it's known through Tzuyang, Kang Min-kyung, and BTS

Daily Fix is known as one of Seoul's top 3 handmade burger spots as certified by Tzuyang, there's also a burger recommended by Davichi's Kang Min-kyung, and the Euljiro branch even has a BTS autograph on the wall!!

Visiting at 1pm on a weekend — any wait?

We got there around 1pm after the lunch rush had died down a bit. Seats were already full and we were wondering if we'd have to wait, but luckily a table opened up just then and we grabbed it — lucky!

A New York diner mood inside

The interior feels like a slice of New York diner vibes transplanted straight in. I visited during the day, but apparently the soft lighting in the evening gives it a totally different atmosphere.

Every table packed full — just seeing this makes you realize how popular the place is.

And then I spotted a BTS RM autograph. Now I'm curious what he ordered... it was my first time seeing a BTS autograph in person.

Picking two from 11 kinds of burgers

There were 11 kinds of burgers total, plus sides. We read through each menu description before deciding.

My boyfriend went with the double cheese burger set, and I went with the Kang Min-kyung-recommended bacon cheese set. We each picked a different type of fries too.

Our drinks came out first. Note: drinks are refillable! We didn't know that and ended up ordering two, haha.

How the bacon cheese burger tastes

The bacon cheese burger has a Hanwoo (Korean beef) patty with salty, smoky bacon and cheese. Since the patty is 100% Hanwoo made fresh every morning, it was really juicy, and the bacon is apparently handmade and aged for 100 hours. Maybe that's why — the smoky aroma and savory flavor really stood out compared to other bacon I've had.

How the double cheese burger tastes

The double cheese burger has two patties, making it super heavy. Without the bacon, it leans less smoky and salty and more toward a rich meaty flavor with strong cheese — that's what stood out most.

Handmade burgers really are the best...

Isn't the cross-section crazy? Two patties stacked up is just overwhelming.

The verdict after splitting them in half

Can you see the difference in the patties between the two burgers? We cut both in half and shared. For my taste, the salty bacon cheese burger with a single Hanwoo patty was more to my liking, while my boyfriend preferred the double cheese burger for its rich meaty flavor from the two thick patties. Each of us walked away satisfied.

Trying both kinds of fries

We also ordered two different types of fries. I like the big, wedge-style fries, so I enjoyed stuffing them into the burger and was happy with mine. My boyfriend said the thin-cut fries were delicious, and even though a huge portion came out, he finished them all...

Hanwoo patties made fresh every morning, bacon with rich smoky aroma, savory cheese, and even the buns — this was genuinely delicious handmade burger, the kind I hadn't had in a while. If you're looking for a can't-go-wrong burger spot, I'd recommend this one.
