Seonyudo Station 8am burger restaurant: Greedy Burger set, BAS Burger

Today I'm introducing a burger spot near Seonyudo that office workers often hit up for lunch: BAS Burger.

Where is BAS Burger Seonyudo and what are its hours?

BAS Burger Seonyudo sits right in front of the exit of Seonyudo Station, super convenient, and it's close to Seonyudo Park too, so it's great for takeout-and-picnic. There are a lot of officetels and workplaces nearby, so it gets a lot of office workers at lunchtime. When I worked briefly in Dangsan last year, it wasn't far from Dangsan Station either, so I'd walk over for a burger sometimes :)

One of the few burger places that opens early in the morning!! The perk of BAS Burger is you can grab one instead of a McMorning if you're craving a burger first thing.

What is the seating like inside BAS Burger Seonyudo?

BAS Burger Seonyudo has a really hip vibe going, lighting included. It feels less like a burger joint and more like a pub that sells beer. There are seats that are comfortable for solo dining plus 2-person and 4-person tables. There are about 10 tables, and since the burgers don't take that long to come out or eat, turnover is pretty decent.

Unlimited potato chips and the self-serve sauce zone

You can eat unlimited chips at BAS Burger!! It's self-serve so there's no awkwardness, just help yourself. There's pepper and salt right next to it too, so you can season to your taste. They're crunchy but light. Being chips rather than fries, they have a different flavor altogether.

The sauce bar has BBQ sauce, pollack roe mayo, ranch, BAS Burger house sauce, and honey mustard, all free for you to grab. You can dip your fries or whatever side you ordered however you like :)

How does the Greedy Burger taste?

My pick, as a burger-loving glutton, is the Greedy Burger. It's got two beef patties, BAS sauce, two slices of cheddar cheese, cabbage, onion, tomato, a fried egg, grilled onion, pickle relish, bacon, and red pepper stacked inside a handmade bun.

The patties have great texture but are really tender, and with two of them the burger is juicy while still tasting clean, not heavy (the kind of delicious that makes you gain weight... but it's so good..). With the fried egg and two slices of cheddar on top, this was perfect for me since I like richer flavors. The buns were well-toasted with a soft interior, and the lettuce and vegetables inside were fresh, so it stayed good from the first bite to the last.

Mozza Chicken Bites (7,200 won)

The Mozza Chicken Bites are packed with cheese around tender chicken thigh meat. Fried crispy on the outside with the cheese stuffed inside, one bite feels like eating a cheese corn dog. So.Good. I dipped them in sriracha sauce and the spiciness cut through the richness really well.

I don't think I'd seen this before, so I ordered it out of curiosity about the flavor. The picture showed three pieces, but what actually comes out is one! Haha (watch out, I got fooled just like this). Think of it as a wide, flattened cheese stick.

Both the cheese bar and the chicken bites clearly show on the surface and in the taste that they were fried in clean oil. So even though it's a cheese-plus-fried combo, it ends up feeling less greasy than you'd expect and just tastes good. Such a delicious lunch.

Is BAS Burger Seonyudo worth it? Final verdict

BAS Burger is a solid burger spot near Seonyudo where every burger and side, one by one, is genuinely tasty and gets the basics right. I had plans afterward so I couldn't have beer, but it would pair perfectly with one, and the vibe is great for drinking too, so coming in the evening for a burger + beer combo would be amazing. It's also right by the station, so if you're around Seonyudo or Dangsan looking for a good burger, it's worth a visit :)
