In short

Three diners ordered the 3-person set of samgyeopsal (pork belly), pork neck, jowl meat and pork skin, which the staff pre-grilled at the table, then helped themselves to the self-serve banchan (side dish) bar and vanilla ice cream for dessert. I was looking for a good restaurant near Samjeon Station and ended up at Migang Sikdang. If you're looking for a place to eat comfortably with friends and have a drink near Samjeon Station, this is worth a look.
Migang Sikdang hours, address and free parking
Migang Sikdang's hours are Tue-Fri 11:30-15:00 / 16:30-23:00, and weekends 11:30-23:00. There's a break time on weekdays, so keep that in mind when planning your visit.
Great news for anyone driving! 🚗 Migang Sikdang offers 2 hours of free parking, which made it really convenient to visit by car. That's a nice bonus if you're looking for a BBQ place with parking near Songpa or Samjeon Station.
📍 Address: 122 Baekjegobun-ro, Unit 103, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea

The waiting area: a bike and a retro game machine
Migang Sikdang has a bike and a game console set up so you can pass the time while waiting! 🎮🚲 It was a nice little touch that kept things from getting boring during the wait, haha.

What comes in the 3-person set at Migang Sikdang
Since there were three of us, we didn't hesitate to order the 3-person set, which let us enjoy several menu items at once without any fuss. Ordering the set instead of separate dishes filled the table quickly and made it easy to share between the three of us. There's a lunch menu on top of the dinner menu, so I hear it's popular with office workers in the area too!

There were plenty of tables inside, so it looked like a good spot for larger groups too. The spacing between tables was generous, which made for a comfortable meal.

🍷 No corkage fee: bringing your own bottle to Migang Sikdang
One thing I really liked about Migang Sikdang was that it's corkage-free. These days, a lot of restaurants charge a corkage fee if you want to bring your own drinks, but at Migang Sikdang we could enjoy the drinks we brought without any extra charge. That's a pretty great point if you like to bring your favorite drink to enjoy with your meal.
The staff pre-grilled the meat and brought it to our table, so we could just relax and eat! 🥩✨ Having the meat pre-grilled and ready to eat right at the table cut down on grilling time and made the meal more comfortable.

Pork belly, pork neck, jowl meat and pork skin: how each cut tastes
The set menu is made up of pork belly, pork neck, jowl meat, and pork skin! 🥩

First, the pork belly was really tasty with juices still moist inside. You could really taste the savory flavor, and the combination of the crispy browned edges with the juicy interior was great.
The jowl meat was seriously delicious! It had that distinctive chewy, springy texture along with a savory flavor that made it really memorable. Of all the cuts we had that day, this one stood out the most.
The pork neck was mild yet full of juice, really tasty. It wasn't dry at all and chewed softly, giving it a different flavor than the pork belly to enjoy.

And finally, the pork skin was absolutely delicious! With its chewy texture plus savory flavor, it went perfectly as a drinking snack. Eating the nicely browned skin really brought out that chewy texture.

Pork belly, pork neck, jowl meat, and pork skin each had a different texture and flavor, so I liked how the set let us try one of each cut. 🥩🔥
Self-serve banchan bar and free vanilla ice cream
At Migang Sikdang's self-serve bar, you can grab as many extra side dishes as you want, so we could easily top up on anything we ran low on. Being able to grab what we needed ourselves made the meal easy too.
After finishing our meal, we had vanilla ice cream for dessert! 🍨 Finishing off with a sweet, smooth vanilla ice cream cleansed the palate and wrapped things up nicely.
Is Migang Sikdang a good group spot near Samjeon Station?
I really liked being able to order easily with the set menu when visiting as a group, plus the corkage-free policy. If you're looking for somewhere to eat near Samjeon Station, give Migang Sikdang a try, and if you're looking for a good gathering spot in Samjeon-dong, Migang Sikdang is worth checking out too. I'd recommend it to anyone like me who's looking for a place to enjoy good food and a drink with friends.
