Bangi-dong gopchang restaurant, sisters' wedding dinner: Jinseong
In short
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch is a hanwoo beef gopchang (small intestine) and daechang (large intestine) restaurant on Olympic-ro 32-gil in Bangi-dong, Songpa, Seoul. Two sisters came to celebrate the younger one's wedding and ordered 2 servings of beef gopchang, 1 serving of beef daechang and kkakdugi yangbap (diced-radish-kimchi rice), and staff grilled everything at the table and said exactly when to eat each piece, so the gopchang kept its creamy filling. There was a 15-minute wait at 7:15pm, but Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang is a Bangi-dong gopchang spot the sisters would return to without hesitation.

Today's food lamp is on a Bangi-dong favorite, "Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang"❗️ I decided to treat my sister to celebrate her wedding, so we headed to a beef gopchang (intestines) spot we both love🤤

7pm at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang in Bangi-dong: a 15-minute wait
This is the storefront❗️ We got there around 7pm and there was a wait — got seated 15 minutes later

You can tell it's already a hot spot because it's packed!! We loved it so much on our first visit that we came back this time. Planning to bring Eongdaengsseu and Appangbbang to another branch next😍

What two sisters ordered at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang, Bangi branch
Here's the menu❗️ It's not a huge menu, but that's actually what I liked about it!! Feels like they put a lot of care into the set dishes they do offer. We ordered 2 servings of beef gopchang, 1 serving of beef daechang, and also got kkakdugi yangbap (kkakdugi radish kimchi rice)🥰

The basic table setting❗️ The staff were friendly and attentive, which was really nice

The house-made kimchi trio and minari-garlic sauce
House-made kimchi❗️ A trio of scallion kimchi, chonggak kimchi (ponytail radish kimchi), and gat kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi)👅

On the left is chonggak kimchi! Crunchy and perfect for when things get greasy. On the right is gat kimchi! Just wrap the grilled gopchang in it and eat

This one's legendary. They even sell it to-go, 700g for ₩20,000. The scallion kimchi gets grilled in the gopchang fat too, and eating it with the gopchang makes the gopchang disappear endlessly🥹

This right here is the minari (water dropwort) garlic sauce❗️ It's one of the reasons this place is so good~ A sauce made with minari, scallion, chili, and garlic — dipping the gopchang, cabbage, bean sprouts, potato, or even rice cake into it is a real treat. So good😍

Complimentary egg custard❗️ It's the pudding-style egg custard, super soft, and perfect for when things get too greasy or salty

Kkakdugi yangbap instead of a plain bowl of rice
This is the kkakdugi yangbap❗️ Interestingly, they don't do plain rice or fried rice — instead they sell this separately. It's rice mixed with kkakdugi, radish shreds, garlic, egg, and teukyang (beef small intestine) — mix it all up and you get bites of teukyang throughout, so good🤤 It's on the salty side, but that actually works well with the greasy food~

Staff grill the hanwoo gopchang and daechang at your table
Beef gopchang and beef daechang❗️ Served with cabbage, bean sprouts, scallion strips, and potato. The staff grilled it so well, and it was such a great sister bonding moment~
Plus, when we grill it ourselves we always miss the perfect timing, but since the staff grilled it, the gopchang's fatty goodness (gop) never overcooked and stayed full and juicy, and they told us exactly when to eat it, which was great 😍😍😍

Perfectly grilled beef gopchang and beef daechang❗️ Grilled golden brown — the gopchang was ready to eat right away, while the daechang needed a bit more time. The moment I ate the gopchang, I confirmed: Bangi-dong hotspot. Writing this post is making me drool… I want to go back ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

What the beef gopchang tastes like
Beef gopchang❗️ Full of gop, so the more you chew the nuttier it gets, and with just the right amount of fat, it's soft. Beef gopchang really is the top pick😍

Eat the daechang the moment the outside turns crisp
Daechang is best eaten when the outside gets crispy — it's full of fat, so wrapping it in bean sprouts, cabbage, and kimchi cuts through the richness completely!!

Dunking the beef gopchang fully into the minari garlic sauce and topping it with minari and chili was also delicious. Highly recommend the minari garlic sauce⭐️

This is the daechang❗️ My sister doesn't like daechang much, so I ate most of it myself. Dunked in scallion kimchi and minari garlic sauce, it's perfect👍

The potato was seriously crispy outside, tender inside. Grilled in the gopchang fat, it tastes even cleaner and nuttier🤤🤤🤤

Final verdict on Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang in Bangi-dong
- Recommend ordering beef gopchang together with beef daechang
- Beef gopchang was full of gop, packed with nutty flavor and a clean finish
- Beef daechang is full of fat, so wrap it in vegetables and dip in the minari garlic sauce
- Overall, nothing was tough — everything was tender
- Kkakdugi yangbap had teukyang mixed in for good texture, and the egg made it filling
- Perfect portion for two people to share with gopchang
- The house-made kimchi trio kept us reaching for more, clearly because it's made in-house
There aren't many great beef gopchang spots near Jamsil, but this is one my sister and I keep coming back to😋 Chance we'll visit again: 1000000%❗️
