In short
Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in the Bangi-dong restaurant alley near Seokchon Lake in Songpa, Seoul, serving raw fish, hanwoo (Korean beef) and hanpork (Korean pork) side by side. The order was the hanpork sampler set at 69,900 won, hanwoo 1++ yuksasimi (raw beef sashimi) at 29,000 won and Cheongdo minari (water celery) bibim noodles at 12,000 won, with staff grilling pork neck, then pork belly, then skirt meat at the table. I visited Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch in the Bangi-dong restaurant alley near Seokchon Lake in Jamsil. It's a Bangi-dong grill house where you can eat raw fish, hanwoo (Korean beef), and hanpork (Korean pork) all in one place. Since it's a tableside-grilled restaurant, you can eat comfortably, and there are private rooms and group seating great for gatherings.

What is on the menu at Yukmong, a Bangi-dong Korean BBQ?

Yukmong, a grill house near Seokchon Lake, sells raw fish, hanwoo, and hanpork together, and has a wide variety of side dishes too. It seems like a good spot to pick a menu for a company dinner or gathering where you need to please many different tastes.

The wine prices looked pretty reasonable, so while I was browsing, the staff recommended two wines that pair well with Yukmong's meat: Mucho Mas Red (Spain) and Lapis Luna Red Blend (USA).
What we ordered at Yukmong and what it cost
- Hanpork sampler set ₩69,900
- Hanwoo 1++ beef tartare ₩29,000
- Cheongdo minari bibim noodles ₩12,000
We both eat pretty well, and the portions were generous for each item, so keep that in mind when ordering! 🥩

There were so many sauces and side dishes to go with the meat that you could enjoy the same meat in many different flavors. 🥩

Hanwoo 1++ yuksasimi (raw beef sashimi), 29,000 won
The hanwoo 1++ tartare had a fresh meaty aroma. Sliced thick, it had a chewy bite. Compared to raw fish, the flesh was firmer and denser.

It was clean and light, making it great to eat before the grilled meat or alongside the bibim noodles. 🍖

What comes in the 69,900-won hanpork sampler set
I ordered the hanpork sampler so we could try several cuts.
- Snowflake pork neck 300g
- Ribs pork belly 150g
- Whole skirt meat 100g
- Premium doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew)
Both the pork neck and pork belly were thick cuts, so I was excited even before grilling.
How the tableside grilling works at Yukmong
Since Yukmong near Seokchon Lake is a tableside-grilled restaurant, we could eat comfortably without the conversation ever stopping. The smoke hood was also installed low next to the grill, so it didn't block our view — a nice touch.

They grilled in the order pork neck, pork belly, then skirt meat. As soon as the pork neck was cooked through, they moved it aside so we could eat it first.
Snowflake pork neck with just salt
The moment I ate the snowflake pork neck, I let out a 'wow!' — it was so tender I couldn't believe it was pork neck. It was tender yet full of juice, and so savory that my favorite pork neck spot used to be Maison Seongsu Don, but I'm switching to Yukmong from now on.

There were plenty of sauces to pair with it, but the meat itself was so good that I just dipped it in salt. It felt almost a shame to let a sauce cover up that flavor.

If you go to Yukmong, I strongly recommend trying the pork neck — and if you already love pork neck, I truly recommend going to Yukmong.
While we were eating the pork neck, the pork belly and skirt meat were getting nicely browned.

Rib pork belly and whole skirt meat
From the thickness and color of the pork belly alone, you could tell the flavor was guaranteed.

Once the pork belly and skirt meat were fully grilled, the meat was piled high on the plate. 🍖 🥩 🥓

The pork belly's fat was crisped to a golden brown, maximizing its savory flavor. The inside was cooked just enough to stay chewy without being tough. I usually love the vegetables and kimchi grilled alongside the meat, but that day I just kept eating meat.

The skirt meat had a lively meaty flavor. I tried it with wasabi on top and dipped in sauce too, but eating Yukmong's meat with just salt really seemed to bring out the flavor best.
Cheongdo minari (water celery) bibim noodles, 12,000 won
These are bibim noodles piled high with minari (water celery). The seasoning style felt as upscale as the bibim noodles you'd order at a hanjeongsik (Korean set-menu) restaurant.

I tried the spicy-sweet bibim noodles topped with the beef tartare and grilled meat, and it went well with pretty much any meat.

Signature doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew)
The premium doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) included with the hanpork sampler was packed with well-cooked radish, tofu, and vegetables — hearty and high quality. It had beef in it too, adding rich savory depth. Taking a spoonful mixed into rice between bites of meat was pure happiness..⭐️
Verdict on Yukmong, a Korean BBQ near Seokchon Lake in Seoul
I'm thrilled to have found such a delicious grill house near my home. The meat was satisfying, and since it's a tableside-grilled restaurant, I appreciated being able to eat comfortably. It's about a 5-minute walk from the eastern end of Seokchon Lake, so I'd recommend it for when you want to take an autumn stroll around the lake and then enjoy some great grilled meat 👍
