I was craving sushi in Buldang-dong, Cheonan, so I went to Ganghan Sushi Cheonan Buldang Branch! Since there's no separate break time, I could visit between 3 and 5 pm without worry.
The exterior

Ganghan Sushi is located in the central commercial district of Buldang-dong, so it wasn't hard to find. The big sign was visible from outside, making it easy to spot haha.

There was a menu board set up right in front of the entrance, so I could check the menu and prices before going in.
The interior vibe — is it okay to eat solo?

The inside was decorated in bright wood tones, giving off an overall clean and comfortable atmosphere.

There were seats ranging from 2-person tables to spots for larger groups, and when I visited there were quite a few people already eating.

The tables weren't too cramped, so eating alone here didn't feel awkward at all. It could be a good option for anyone looking for a Buldang-dong lunch spot or a place to eat solo.
How does the parking registration work?

Near the entrance there was a dedicated tablet just for parking registration, so I could register my own parking easily after the meal. It allows up to 3 hours of registered parking, which was nice because I could eat without feeling rushed.
Menu lineup and the cold soba option

From signature sushi sets to half-and-half combos, 2-piece sushi, and side dishes, everything came with photos, which made choosing easy.

What I ordered was the [Signature] Omakase Sushi 12P! It comes with 12 pieces of sushi plus mini udon and seafood croquette, but I swapped the mini udon for cold soba (+₩5,000).
The seafood croquette that came first
Before diving into the sushi, the seafood croquette arrived first!

It's included as part of the omakase set — crispy on the outside and moist and soft on the inside. It came with shredded cabbage, so it was nice to nibble on while waiting for the sushi.
The omakase sushi 12P spread
And then the omakase sushi 12P I'd been waiting for arrived! It came filling up a long wooden plate, and it looked quite generous just from the visual.

There was white fish, salmon, tuna, shrimp, and gunkan-style sushi — a whole variety on one plate. This is a great menu for people who prefer tasting many different kinds of sushi one piece at a time rather than eating several pieces of the same type.

The fish generously covered the rice, so each piece had a really rich flavor.

There was such a wide variety that I could enjoy a different flavor with each piece.

My top pick: freshwater eel and gamtae-yukhoe sushi
Among them, my top pick was the freshwater eel and gamtae-yukhoe (seaweed and beef tartare) sushi. The sweet-savory sauce on the eel paired beautifully with the savory beef tartare and fragrant gamtae seaweed — it was delicious.

The wasabi served alongside was spicier than I expected, so use just a little at a time!
₩500 egg sushi 2P through the receipt review event
They were also currently running a receipt review event. You can participate once per order and get an event menu item for ₩500. I added 2 pieces of egg sushi for ₩500!

Visually, the yellow egg generously covers the rice, and the egg itself was soft, slightly salty, and subtly sweet — really nice to eat.
The combination of the seaweed wrapped in the middle, the plain rice, and the sweet egg went together really well without any surprises.

On one side of the table, pickled ginger and rakkyo (Japanese pickled scallion) were set out separately so I could help myself as much as I wanted.

The cold soba I chose instead of mini udon
The cold soba that came instead of mini udon! Cold broth with buckwheat noodles, seaweed flakes, and radish sprouts piled on top, plus wasabi so I could adjust it to my taste.

The noodles were nice and springy, and the broth was refreshingly cold — it went really well with the sushi.
Wrap-up
The biggest advantage of the omakase menu was being able to taste so many different kinds of sushi in one sitting, and with the seafood croquette and cold soba added on, the whole set felt quite filling. If you're deciding on lunch in Buldang-dong, Cheonan, or looking for a good sushi restaurant in Cheonan, Ganghan Sushi Cheonan Buldang Branch is worth checking out! If you want to try a variety of distinctively flavored sushi, I'd recommend going with the omakase sushi plus cold soba combo :)
