Hongdae nail salon full-parts stone art, old nail removal: Byuazeu
In short
Byuazeu Hongdae Nail, Lashes & Skincare is a total beauty shop in Mapo, Seoul, a five-minute walk from Hongik University Station. The writer booked through Naver Reservation to have a set of nails from a Vietnam trip, left on for over a month, removed and the shape corrected, then chose September's monthly art from nail artist Hanseul — stone art with full parts on both index fingers. With so many sample designs laid out at Byuazeu Hongdae, she was already picking her next set while this one was being done.

Why a month-old set of Vietnam nails sent me to a Hongdae nail salon
When I traveled to Vietnam I got my nails done there. At first I kept them looking pretty good, but before I knew it, over a month had passed... My nails had grown out a lot and the cuticle area got messy, so I started getting self-conscious every time I looked at my hands.
I'm the type who, once I get my nails done, is too lazy to go back for a while so I try to stretch it out as long as possible lol. But this time I really felt I couldn't put it off anymore, so I searched for Hongdae nail salon recommendations and looked for a place with pretty monthly art. That's how I found Byuazeu Hongdae!
I browsed several designs on Instagram and found one from the September monthly art lineup that I fell in love with, so I booked right away with nail artist Hanseul and went in.
Where Byuazeu Hongdae is and how to book it
Byuazeu Hongdae's address is 19 Hongik-ro 2-gil, Mapo-gu, within 5 minutes on foot from Hongik University Station, so it was easy to find. When I was looking up Hongdae nail salon recommendations, location was almost as important to me as the design. Getting your nails done takes a fair bit of time anyway, so if the shop is far away it's kind of a hassle.
Booking wasn't hard either. I used Naver Reservation to pick the date and time I wanted. No need to call and ask about available times one by one — I could just see open slots and book instantly, which was convenient. Walking in, the whole place was white-toned, so the first impression was clean and neat.

I thought it was a nail-only place, but it turned out to be a total beauty shop where you can get nails, lashes and skincare all in one spot.

Everything felt tidy overall, which made it comfortable to get treatments done.
How many sample designs does Byuazeu Hongdae have?
The moment I walked into Byuazeu Hongdae, one thing immediately caught my eye — the sheer number of nail designs!!

I'd already picked out September's monthly nail design before I even got there, but seeing all the designs at the shop kept pulling my eyes toward other options lol.

There were so many combinations of colors and parts, ranging from flashy styles to relatively clean designs. Even while getting my nails done, I kept browsing and thinking, should I do this next time? This one's pretty too? lol

If you're like me and can't decide on a design before you go, this would be a great place to browse samples in person and choose on the spot. Personally, when I recommend a Hongdae nail salon, I like places where you can actually see a wide variety of real designs, and Byuazeu Hongdae had plenty of options.
Choosing Hanseul's September monthly art: removal and shaping first
Since I'd already picked my design before booking, I had a quick consultation with Hanseul and got started right away. First up was... removing the Vietnam nails I'd had on for over a month lol.

They looked pretty when I first got them in Vietnam, but after more than a month of growth, taking them off felt so satisfying. She cleanly removed the old nails first, then reshaped my nails.
My nails are naturally pretty thin, so during the removal and shaping process there was a bit of discomfort for me personally.

I think I'm just a bit more sensitive since my nails are thin. Still... gotta endure a little to get pretty nails lol.
Once the shape was cleanly done, even before any art went on, my hands already looked so much more polished. Nail color and parts matter, of course, but shaping the nails nicely to begin with turns out to matter a lot too.
Then the September monthly art I'd picked out started going on in earnest. This design's highlight was stones and parts, so it got more and more glamorous with each piece added.
I love sparkly, eye-catching nails, so I loved watching it come together. Especially the full parts on both index fingers! When you spread your hand out, your eyes go straight to the index fingers, giving the whole design a real focal point. But it wasn't so over-the-top that every finger felt too flashy — even with stones and parts, it all felt harmonious.
The finished stone and full-parts nails
And finally, done! Ah... I'm so glad I picked this design. I booked after seeing the photo of the monthly art and loving it instantly, but seeing it actually on my hands made me love it even more. Every time I moved my hands the stones sparkled and I kept staring at them lol.

The full parts on the index fingers especially stood out in photos, so my hand pictures turned out really pretty. I met up with friends afterward, and the moment they saw my hands they said the nails were pretty, which made me extra proud.
After leaving my Vietnam nails alone for over a month, my nails looked messy every time I glanced at them, so cleanly removing them and switching to a new design was a real mood reset.
This time I picked September's monthly nails ahead of time, but the shop had so many designs that I already want to try a different style next time. Honestly, while getting my nails done I already mentally shortlisted a few candidates for next time lol.
If you like a bit more flashy style with parts or stones rather than plain single colors every time, this place is fun just to browse too.
Overall verdict on Byuazeu Hongdae
Byuazeu Hongdae was where I went to finally swap out my month-old Vietnam nails for something new! It's within 5 minutes on foot from Hongik University Station so accessibility was great, and Naver Reservation made it easy to pick a convenient time. The interior was clean and white-toned, and it's a total shop offering not just nails but lashes and skincare too.
What I liked most was honestly how varied the nail designs were! Even though I'd already picked out September's monthly art ahead of time, I kept browsing other designs the whole time I was getting my nails done lol.
Hanseul took care of everything from removing my old nails to shaping and applying the art, and seeing the finished result with the stones and full parts made me so happy. The full parts on my index fingers especially became a clear focal point, making for really pretty photos too. My friends all said it looked pretty the second they saw it, which made me even more satisfied!
If you're searching for Hongdae nail salon recommendations with a wide variety of monthly art designs, or looking for a place to get pretty parts nails done, Byuazeu Hongdae is worth checking out. I already have my eye on a few designs I want to try next time lol.
Cleared away a month-old Vietnam nail set for a sparkly full-parts transformation! September's monthly nails at Byuazeu Hongdae, complete with genuine compliments from friends.
