Garden café in Sutonggol, Daejeon fit for outdoor weddings: Luonto

After a hearty lunch of duck baeksuk (whole duck soup) with mom, my aunt and my husband, we headed to Luonto, a café near Sutonggol.

I've mentioned this before, but whenever I meet my mom and aunt, a café visit is basically mandatory. There's one condition, though: it has to have a garden! Haha.

So that day too, we went looking for a café with a pretty garden near Sutonggol and ended up at Luonto Sutonggol Branch.

Once we got to the café, we ordered drinks first, and this time everyone picked something different. Since we all have different tastes, we went with cinnamon chimney bread plus one each of latte, yuja tea, and einspänner.

One reason we came to Luonto in the first place was the chimney bread.

I was curious since it's a bit unusual for a café to sell chimney bread, and this time we went with cinnamon. The cinnamon aroma added to the warm chimney bread went really well with the coffee.

With plastic gloves on our fingers, we spun the chimney bread round and round, and our whole family just cracked up. Even though we were already full, we kept dipping it in whipped cream and eating more!

And the thing that always kicks off whenever our family goes to a café: taking photos...

An outdoor wedding here would be so pretty

Luonto's outdoor space was even prettier than I'd expected. Trees and greenery blend together naturally, and there are so many photo-worthy spots that pictures turned out well no matter where we stood.

The sunlight was a bit strong that day, but the weather itself was really nice. There was a gentle breeze too, so sitting outside just felt good.

On a day with sunshine streaming in and a soft breeze blowing, having a wedding among the green garden with the people close to you sounds pretty lovely. And I thought this kind of space would suit not just weddings but also special occasions like first-birthday parties or other family events.

Came for coffee, left daydreaming about an outdoor wedding again :)

Final thoughts

📌 Finding a café with a garden whenever I meet my mom and aunt has pretty much become our official routine, and Luonto fully delivered on that condition this time.

Everyone's drink of choice and the chimney bread we'd been curious about were both delicious, which made it even more memorable! Especially on a nice-weather day, it's a great spot to take photos in the garden and stroll around slowly, making it a solid café to stop by with family after a meal in Sutonggol.
