Kids menu and jumbo burrito at The Taco Booth, Ansan Gojan
In short
The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is a Mexican restaurant in Gojan-dong, Ansan, Gyeonggi. The birria tacos and jumbo Pollo Chicken Burrito stood out — meat so tender it pulled apart along the grain, and a burrito that was surprisingly huge. With a kids menu and even tteokbokki on offer, it's a spot families with children can visit without worry.

What we ordered
Here's what we ordered!!
- Birria tacos
- Pollo Chicken Burrito (jumbo size)
- Coke

I really liked that there was a spot to wash your hands right next to the self-serve bar

Birria tacos, dipped in broth
First up, the birria tacos! You dip them in broth, which might feel unfamiliar if it's your first time, but take one dip and one bite and you'll instantly get why everyone's obsessed with birria.

You could tell the meat had been slow-braised — it pulled apart softly along the grain, and the umami built up subtly with every bite. The broth wasn't greasy either, just deep and rich, so I kept reaching for more. You know I'm a mom, right? My kid's going through a picky meat phase and it's genuinely stressful, but this meat was so tender I honestly wanted to ask which cut it was!!

Jumbo Pollo Chicken Burrito
See those busy hands?? Haha. Next, the Pollo Chicken Burrito — I ordered it jumbo size, and the sheer size caught me off guard.

The chicken was juicy and well cooked, and the mix of fillings inside had great balance, so each bite tasted different in an interesting way.

What about the vibe and service?
The place is on the smaller side, but tables turn over quickly, so we got to eat comfortably without any wait.
And honestly, my favorite part! They have a separate kids menu 👶 Tacos and burritos can feel risky to bring kids to because of the spices, but here they've got dishes tailored to kids' tastes, plus tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) for the elementary-school crowd too!! It's a place the whole family can enjoy together. Not just a spot for adults — being able to bring the kids without worry is a real plus!
Overall thoughts
One thing I quietly loved about this place — the variety of sauces meant both spice lovers and mild-flavor fans could be satisfied. Personally, salsa verde was my favorite; a little drizzle on the taco balanced the tang and heat perfectly, and I kept going back for more. Takeout is available too, so it's great for picking up when you're short on time and eating comfortably at home.
If you're ever passing through Gojan-dong, Ansan, this place is worth a stop — you absolutely won't regret it. Next time I want to work my way through the other taco varieties 🌮
A place that delivered on both portion size and flavor for the price! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for tacos or Mexican food for lunch in Gojan-dong, Ansan, or a restaurant to take the kids to. Next time I'll try other menu items 🌮
Location and parking
The restaurant is 'The Taco Booth' in Gojan-dong, Ansan.
Unfortunately there's no dedicated parking support!! I'd recommend using the street public parking lot, or parking at the public lot across from AK Wedding Hall and walking over!!
The street public parking lot doesn't have a ton of spaces, so I'd suggest leaving yourself some extra time when you visit.
Honestly, I've lived in Ansan for a long time and thought I knew pretty much every good restaurant in this neighborhood, so finding a new spot this time really surprised me.
