Soju and beer for 3,900 won in Jeonpo-dong
When you make dinner plans around the currently-hot Jeonpo café street, rising prices often mean the drinks end up costing more than the food. But while walking around, one place stopped me in my tracks,

and that was Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch, selling soju and beer at the shockingly low price of ₩3,900. It's also easy to get to, so it seems like a great spot for a date or a group hangout in Jeonpo-dong.

Inside Dwitdon Sanghoe: the room and the self-serve bar
Step inside and you'll find neatly arranged round stainless steel tables, perfect for sitting around with a partner or friends over drinks.

There was none of the usual slippery, sticky BBQ-restaurant floor, and the ventilation was good enough that the smoky meat smell didn't cling to my clothes — it felt really comfortable.

The self-serve bar tucked into one side of the restaurant was one of the touching details — I could freely take as much tofu, kimchi, green onion kimchi, pickled radish, cheongyang chili, and garlic as I wanted, without feeling like I was being watched. Every side dish was designed to cut through the richness of the meat.

Free tofu kimchi and bibim noodles with every table
Once you order, a generous default spread lands on the table. Tofu kimchi (tofu with well-fermented kimchi) and sweet-spicy-tangy bibim noodles (mixed noodles) come as standard, and honestly these side dishes alone could easily finish off a bottle of soju. Curry powder, soybean powder, salt, and a savory house sauce for dipping the meat were all neatly set out, building up my anticipation before the meat even arrived.

What comes in the 750g Dwitdon assorted set for 49,000 won
We ordered the restaurant's signature Dwitdon assorted set (750g). This set includes six rare cuts (500g), pork tail (250g), and either tripe or skin, adding up to a generous 750g total.

At ₩49,000, it's genuinely hard to believe the value. The meat, neatly arranged in sections on a large octagonal tray, had vivid, bright-red marbling that showed off its freshness even before it hit the grill.

How the rare cuts taste wrapped in bibim noodles
At last, the thick rare cuts went onto the hot black-coated grill pan. With a satisfying sizzle, the meat browned up beautifully.

Biting into a well-cooked piece with no sauce first, I got that distinctive slightly crisp yet chewy texture of rare cuts, with savory juices bursting in my mouth.

Wrapping the perfectly grilled meat in the spicy bibim noodles that came as a default side was, quite simply, fantastic.

Bomb steamed egg and pork skin on the grill
We also added the essential companion dish: bomb egg stew (steamed egg custard). Puffed up in its earthenware pot, looking like it might overflow any second, it steals the show visually. A big spoonful of the soft egg custard, studded with diced carrot, perfectly neutralized the richness of the meat — I couldn't put my chopsticks down.

And to close out the set, the pork skin! Scored densely with cuts, it grilled evenly all the way through, crisp outside and chewy inside. Dipped generously in the soybean and curry powders, the well-grilled skin was chewy and savory — the perfect finishing dish.
