1pm sushi wait and extra salmon at Ganghan Sushi, Cheonan

I went to such a delicious sushi place! Let me introduce Ganghan Sushi, located in Buldang-dong, Cheonan.

Ganghan Sushi, a sushi spot in Buldang-dong, Cheonan, has no break time, has solo seating, and even offers takeout!

Full even at 1pm — how long was the wait?

I really loved that there's no break time!! I visited around 1pm, and it was already full even at one o'clock! I waited outside for about 5 minutes before I could go right in 💓

Inside the restaurant

The inside is laid out in a long shape going back, with seating along both walls. People dining alone can eat comfortably too, so feel free to come solo!💕 And across from that area, there looked to be space for group dining too.

There's also a baby chair, so you can eat comfortably even if you bring your baby 🤧

Here's the tableware set up at each table! There are spoons, chopsticks, and little soy sauce dishes, all in a clean white color.

The menu and what I ordered

And here... is the menu at Ganghan Sushi in Buldang-dong, Cheonan. After looking through the reviews carefully, it seemed like the special sushi set and the omakase sushi set were the most popular! I agonized between the two... honestly I also thought about just ordering all salmon sushi 🤣 Salmon is love, right? 💕

Anyway, here's what I ordered!

The basic miso soup, croquette, and udon

Before the ordered menu comes out, miso soup, croquette, and udon come as basic sides. All of it was so delicious, and the croquette especially was amazing! The food in the photo is the croquette..💗

The 12-piece omakase sushi lineup

My omakase sushi and salmon sushi came out! Wow, isn't the presentation amazing?! I usually love salmon sushi so much that I ordered extra, and if I hadn't, I really would have regretted it 💗

Here's the omakase sushi lineup.

• Extra-large Wando flounder
• Extra-large flounder belly engawa
• 7kg superior-grade raw salmon
• 200kg bluefin tuna
• 200kg swordfish belly
• Sweet shrimp with sea urchin
• 24-hour aged soy sauce shrimp
• Abalone with abalone innard sauce
• Monkfish liver gunkan
• Sea mustard yukhoe (raw beef)
• Freshwater eel unagi

Extra-large flounder belly engawa

This is the extra-large flounder belly engawa. It's so soft and so delicious.. ♡ At some point, sushi made from belly — whether salmon or flounder — became my absolute favorite type of sushi.

My top pick: the monkfish liver gunkan

And my top pick from this omakase sushi is none other than the monkfish liver gunkan! 🪽

This one right here..💕 At first I put it in my mouth while looking at my phone, then went, wait?!! and got surprised.. it was so delicious.... That rich, luxurious flavor lingering in my mouth is unforgettable!! It might be a bit of a love-it-or-hate-it thing, but I loved it completely!

Everything else was delicious too.. You can tell just by looking that it's good!!! There wasn't a single piece of sushi that wasn't delicious! I already love sushi, but every piece at Ganghan Sushi was the best..🤧💕 I'm planning to visit again with my husband soon! Anyway, I ate until my stomach was nice and full.💗
