Seodaemun rice bowl restaurant for solo dining: Sunhui Dining
In short
Sunhui Dining (순희다이닝) is a rice bowl restaurant near Ewha Womans University in Seodaemun, Seoul. I ate spicy butadon alone at a window seat and also ordered soboro piled-high galbi rice; the cozy setting and self-serve side dishes and rice were convenient.

Is this a good rice bowl restaurant for solo dining near Ewha Womans University?

I went to Sunhui Dining (순희다이닝), near Ewha Womans University, for a meal on my own. Sitting by the window gave it a comfortable atmosphere for eating alone. The interior felt cozy, and there were several seats, so it also seemed fine for visiting with friends.

The restroom and self-service station also felt clean and well maintained. The station had hand sanitizer, hand cream, and hair ties, and the layout allowed me to see into the kitchen.

How were the spicy butadon and extra dish?

I first ordered the spicy butadon, which was listed as a best menu item. I enjoyed it enough to appreciate the taste of butadon again.

Since I had used a lot of energy that day, I also ordered the soboro piled-high galbi rice. I asked for less rice, and I could get more from the self-service station if I needed it.

How do the side dishes work?

Salad, baekkimchi (white kimchi), and doenjang (fermented soybean paste) were provided, and I could take as much as I wanted from the self-service station. It felt like a neat restaurant that was easy to drop into without feeling burdened.
