Banana tiramisu with parents at a Suyeong, Busan café: Café Buajang
In short
Café Buajang is a renovated house-turned-café in Minrak-dong, Suyeong, Busan, near Gwangalli Beach. After visiting the beach with family, the writer ordered an Americano, café latte, chestnut cream hojicha, and banana tiramisu (₩7,400) — the coffee had just the right acidity and the tiramisu's cookie topping was wonderfully crunchy. With its glass walls and plants everywhere, it's a peaceful café that's great to bring parents to.

- Famous for its tiramisu
We went to Gwangalli with my family! After looking at the sea and eating, I searched blogs and Café Buajang looked pretty, and it turned out to be walking distance from Famous Benny Gwangan. So we went — honest review, go go!

Where to park
Buajang has no dedicated parking lot, but one spot in front of the café is available — the owner said they lease that patch of land. We paid for parking at Minrak C Land Market public parking lot and walked over. There's no support provided for parking.

The entrance and front yard, a renovated house
Buajang is a renovated house with an extension built onto the front!

The entrance was full of grass and green trees, so lush and fresh

I don't know the name of this flower but it was so pretty — hey red flower, what's your name, haha

Sunlit glass-walled interior and a hidden space
As soon as we walked in — wow, it was so bright and pretty, and the sunlight coming in was gorgeous

The pretty sunlight didn't come through in photos — it had such a peaceful, warm feel

Right after entering there's a hidden space you can't see at first, which made it even better — it felt like my own secret hideout!

This inner space was the actual house! The owner was making the tables and chairs by hand out of wood — I thought, wow, this person is so skilled, maybe they studied architecture?

What we ordered and the prices
We ordered a hot Americano (₩4,500), a café latte (₩5,000), chestnut cream hojicha (₩6,500), and banana tiramisu (₩7,400)

Buajang is apparently famous for its tiramisu! They had coffee / banana / Oreo / chestnut flavors. I was curious about the chestnut one too, but I couldn't pass up the banana with the 'best' tag on it

There were plants at the ordering counter too — pretty!

Our order arrived~

Americano — acidity and a coconut aroma
First I tried the Americano, and it had a bit of acidity, but it was the kind that even people who don't like acidity could enjoy in balance! Not too tart, just the right amount of acidity, with a coconut-like aroma — it made me think about buying the beans here

Café latte — with latte art too
And the café latte! Rich yet with foam, so it went down smooth~ They even did latte art for us — so happy~

Chestnut cream hojicha — drink it as is, don't stir
Chestnut cream hojicha! When the owner brought it out, she told us not to stir it, just drink it straight as it is! Hojicha is a type of Japanese green tea made by roasting the leaves. Maybe that's why — with the cream on top it was sweet, but after finishing the cream at the end it turned clean, nutty and savory. I thought people who don't like a heavy sweetness lingering in their mouth would really like hojicha — it finishes with a clean taste

Banana tiramisu — crunchy cookies and plenty of banana
And the banana tiramisu! It was really delicious. The cookie on top was crunchy, there was plenty of banana packed inside, and the cream was sweet too — sugar rush complete! Highly recommend!
A café worth coming back to with my parents
This was a café I'd love to visit again! The café itself is so pretty, and with the glass walls and all the plants, it felt so fresh and green! These days, individual drinks at non-chain cafés are almost always ₩6,000–7,000, so I thought this was good value too, and the owner was so kind that I felt good the whole time! I also loved the cat that came into the front yard, haha. For anyone looking for a peaceful spot with delicious tiramisu in Gwangalli — I'd recommend this place~
