Suyeong café with wood-fired Margherita pizza: Working Holiday Minrak

In short

Working Holiday Minrak is an ocean-view café in Suyeong, Busan. My mom and I had Fricasee Pasta, Margherita pizza, and grapefruit ade while looking out at the sea and Gwangan Bridge at night. For a Gwanganri meal with both a view and great food, Working Holiday Minrak is well worth a stop.

A total Gwanganri hot spot that wins you over once with the sparkling Gwangan Bridge view through its floor-to-ceiling windows, then again with its wonderfully chewy, authentic wood-fired pizza dough ✨

Ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows and a stylish interior

Ocean-view space at Working Holiday & Night

At 7 p.m. on a weekday, I visited Working Holiday & Night—perfect for dinner followed by a seaside walk in this cool, lovely weather!

True to its reputation for incredible views, the moment I walked into Working Holiday & Night, the wide-open sea and nightscape beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows were seriously unrealㅠㅠ

Sea and night view beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows

Sadly, all the most popular window seats had already been snapped up by early-bird guests, so we took a cozy table farther inside. But the interior was so pretty and stylish that I think every seat would be good, haha.

There was a large table in the center, which looked great for group gatherings, and I loved the cute little objects that made looking around so fun, plus the sparkling-clean open kitchen.

Neat open kitchen and self-service bar

Even the self-service bar, where you could comfortably pick up anything you needed, made it clear how much care and good sense had gone into every corner. I was so busy looking around that I lost track of time before the food arrived.

Rich Fricasee Pasta and grapefruit ade

Fricasee Pasta and grapefruit ade

After ordering and waiting at our table for a little while, the refreshing grapefruit ade and pasta arrived first!

Table setting with grapefruit ade and pasta

Just as gorgeous as it had looked in photos, the pasta was seriously appetizing and prettyㅠㅠ

Appetizing Fricasee Pasta

It was packed generously with tender grilled chicken and fragrant button mushrooms—totally my kind of pasta, haha.

The moist, rich cream sauce had soaked right into the noodles, so every bite had me blurting out compliments, haha.

My mom said it was exactly to her taste and kept praising how delicious it was as she ate, which made me so happy, haha.

Grapefruit ade and pasta

The grapefruit ade didn't taste like artificial syrup at all; it burst with the deep, fresh flavor of grapefruit juice and was the perfect cheat code for cutting through the richness of the pizza and pasta!

Wood-fired Margherita pizza

Just as we were finishing the pasta deliciously, the pizza we had been waiting for arrived.

Freshly served Margherita pizza

The second I saw it, I immediately understood why everyone recommends this place as a true Gwanganri pizza spot.

Margherita pizza

Instead of being loaded with excessive toppings like Korean-style pizza, it came in a very clean, authentic Italian style,

Maybe because it was baked directly in a wood-fired oven, the dough itself was so chewy and light, becoming nuttier the more I chewed. The restrained tomato sauce and fresh cheese were a perfect combination—it was addictive enough that I kept reaching for another slice, haha!

A Gwanganri night-view meal with my mom

It had been such a long time since my mom and I went out for pizza and pasta somewhere with a nice atmosphere, and enjoying delicious food while looking at that amazing night view made me feel absolutely wonderful.

Looking over the menu, I saw that they also had a wide range of brunch dishes, so next time I definitely want to come during the day and enjoy a leisurely brunch.
