Jeonpo ramen restaurant with 7-piece karaage in Busan: Ryusenso
In short
Ryusenso is a 24-hour Japanese ramen restaurant right outside Exit 4 of Jeonpo Station in Busanjin-gu, Busan, closed only for a break from 06:00 to 10:00. The order here was Ryusenso Kara (spicy Hakata tonkotsu ramen) at spice level 1 with a side of tori karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and a Coke Zero — the broth came out deeply rich and the karaage crisp outside, juicy inside. For ramen and Japanese fried chicken in one sitting in Jeonpo, Ryusenso is the answer.

I finally visited Ryusenso, a genuine Japanese ramen restaurant in Jeonpo — the ramen was really delicious, the vibe was great, and it was totally comfortable to visit solo too~
Where Ryusenso is and when it opens
Ryusenso is a Japanese-style ramen restaurant on Seojeon-ro 58beon-gil in Busanjin-gu, Busan, and it's right by Exit 4 of Jeonpo Station, so it was really easy to find. It's open daily 00:00–24:00 with a break time of 06:00–10:00, and takeout and delivery are both available.

And get this — it's open 24 hours except for the break time from 6am to 10am, so it's also a great spot for a late-night meal. A genuine ramen restaurant open 24 hours, wow!!
Is Ryusenso's bar-table seating good for solo dining?
All of Ryusenso's indoor seating is bar-table style. It worked well for a date, sitting side by side, and it was also totally fine to visit alone~

Here's what's set up at each seat :)

Napkins and three kinds of side dishes were prepared so you can help yourself~
An apron was also provided, so I put one on to protect my clothes from the ramen broth.
Ryusenso menu: four ramen bowls and sides
True to a ramen restaurant, Jeonpo's Ryusenso menu is made up of four types of ramen. There's Ryusenso (Hakata tonkotsu ramen), Ryusenso Kara (spicy Hakata tonkotsu ramen with adjustable spice level), Ryusenso Ajiri (Sapporo soy ramen), and Japanese cold noodles (wafu reimen, a summer-only menu).

For side small dishes, there were various fried items available. And there was Asahi beer on the drinks menu too, but I'd driven that day so I couldn't order it — such a shame haha. Ramen with beer would be amazing~~
What we ordered at Ryusenso
- Ryusenso Kara (spicy Hakata tonkotsu ramen)
- Ryusenso karaage (Japanese fried chicken)
- Coke Zero
Consoling myself for missing out on the Asahi with a Coke Zero instead~!

The food came out after just a short wait :) A perfect spread, karaage included.

How spicy is Ryusenso Kara at level 1?
Ryusenso Kara (spicy Hakata tonkotsu ramen) can be adjusted from level 1 to 3, and level 1 was about a bit spicier than Shin Ramyun. I randomly craved spicy ramen that day, so this is the one I ordered.

The ramen comes topped as standard with ajitama (seasoned soft-boiled egg), chashu (braised pork), green onion, and wood ear mushroom. You could also request your preferred toppings when ordering~ Personally the chashu here is amazing, highly recommend it haha. And the broth itself was seriously rich. Full of umami and deep flavor, so delicious. It really felt like finding a genuine Japanese ramen restaurant… no need to fly to Japan for ramen, just come to Ryusenso lol.

Soft chashu with such deep umami in the meat that I want to eat it again. Next time, adding extra chashu is a must,,

The noodle texture was textbook Japanese ramen, which was really satisfying. Eating it together with the wood ear mushroom on top gave a nice chewy, crunchy texture too~~ I'm not great with spicy food, so I worried it might be too hot, but level 1 turned out to be exactly my kind of pleasantly spicy, and I scraped the bowl clean.
Tori karaage (Japanese fried chicken), 7 pieces
Ryusenso's tori karaage is Japanese-style fried chicken served in 7 pieces total, with both tartar sauce and soy sauce served alongside. I ordered this as a side dish.

The karaage came fresh out of the fryer, so be careful — it's hot~~
This is what truly crisp-outside, juicy-inside tastes like~~~! Can you tell how tender the chicken meat inside is just from the photo?

Having two kinds of sauce made dipping fun, and both were delicious.

Enjoying it alongside the ramen throughout the meal made both the ramen and karaage even better.
Is Ryusenso worth it for ramen in Jeonpo?
What impressed me most about Ryusenso was how rich the broth was from the start — this is a Jeonpo ramen place I'll definitely think of again whenever I want Japanese ramen. And the tori karaage side is a must-order to enjoy alongside it haha.

It's a great spot for a Jeonpo date, but also totally fine to visit alone and enjoy solo ramen, so if you're looking for a ramen restaurant in Jeonpo, stop by Ryusenso~~
