Jeonpo Station pizza: SODA Set L with egg potato, Freewill Pizza

When you're hunting for good food in Busan these days, you can't skip Jeonpo Sajitgil. Walking through Jeonpo's young, free-spirited streets, this time I stopped by Freewill Pizza.

I spotted two suitcases at the entrance and wondered if they belonged to travelers, but honestly, the pizza place felt like a perfect match for Jeonpo's distinct vibe.

Best of all, there are outdoor tables, which would be perfect for pizza and beer on a nice day. 🍕🍺

🍕 What we ordered: the SODA Set L

We ordered the SODA Set L at Freewill Pizza. The pizza came half-and-half — egg potato plus Freewill pizza — with fried mushrooms as a side and two drinks.

The SODA Set turned out much more generous than I expected, which was very satisfying.

🥔 Tasting egg potato pizza for the first time

The egg potato pizza at Freewill Pizza caught my eye first. Usually when you hear 'potato pizza,' you imagine thick-cut potato chunks piled on top like a topping, but this one was a bit different.

The topping felt more like mashed potato or potato salad, with bits of potato chunks mixed in, and egg blended throughout as well.

It was a combination I'd never seen before, so it felt fresh — familiar yet different from a typical potato pizza, which made it fun. It also felt like a menu item that matched Jeonpo's young, distinctive atmosphere well.

The other half was the Freewill pizza.

This signature menu item is topped with sausage, bacon, and pepperoni. The toppings were more generous than I expected, so even one slice was quite filling.

Ordering the two pizzas half-and-half made it fun to compare the different flavors, and overall the portion was bigger than expected too, so it was very satisfying.

🍄 Fried button mushrooms, best eaten the moment they arrive

The fried mushrooms we ordered as a side came out freshly fried and really hot.

A staff member told us it was hot and suggested cutting one in half with a knife, so I cut one, dipped it in the sauce, and tried it... it was so good. 😋

The mushrooms were on the smaller side, so cutting each one felt a bit tedious at first, but after that I just ate them whole.

Between the crispy batter, you could taste the distinct mushroom flavor, which was delicious — good dipped in sauce, and good plain too.

🌿 Next time: pizza and beer at Freewill Pizza's outdoor tables

After finishing the meal, Freewill Pizza's outdoor tables caught my eye even more. On a nice day, sitting out there with pizza and a beer would be really great.

This time, after the meal, we headed past Gwangalli toward the IKEA in East Busan, so I captured a bit of the Gwangalli scenery along the way. 🌊

The travel route from having pizza in Jeonpo to Gwangalli turned out to be pretty good. A lot of people search for the best pizza restaurants in Gwangalli, but if you have plans around Jeonpo, this place is worth trying for pizza and beer.

💛 A feel-good meal in Jeonpo, Busan

This visit to Freewill Pizza let us enjoy pizza that was more generous than expected, a unique egg potato pizza, and crispy fried mushrooms, all in one meal.

Maybe thanks to Jeonpo's young, lively atmosphere, walking out after the meal felt a little lighter too.

Next time, I'd love to sit at the outdoor tables on a nice day and enjoy pizza and beer. 🍕🍺
