Suwon Korean bar for seafood steam and noodles: Ryu-eun

While on a Haenggung-dong date with my mom, we were walking through its little alleys when we found a place with sooo much atmosphere 💗 It was just! dinner time, so we decided to pop in!!!

It’s Ryu-eun, a fusion Korean bar in Haenggung-dong! True to its fusion-bar identity, the fusion food and both Eastern and Western drinks really caught my eye 🐷💛

We got there right around 5, so we were the first customers haha yay! Maybe because it’s a fusion spot, but the Korean hanok and Western vibes went together so perfectly—I loved it 🥨🥨 I especially wanted to sit by that wall and eat, but it was still a little hot, so maybe next time,, 🥹

Second-floor tree view through wide windows

After passing through the first floor and coming upstairs, we were greeted by a huge chandelier and a tree view through the wide windows 🧚♀️ (That lush green tree view that made me think, “I’m so glad I came to Ryu-eun in Haenggung-dong” 💚)

There’s even an indoor restroom on the second floor. It was the definition of comfortable and spotless, which I absolutely loved.

Finally, the kiosk right at our table >_< Salmon, mulhoe (cold raw-fish soup), Korean beef daedori-tang, shredded-potato pancake, and more ㅠ It was just packed with Jiyoung’s favorite kinds of food 🤭,,

So many side dishes, plus traditional Korean liquor from Haenggung-dong and Western cocktails! Drinks that really suit Ryu-eun as a fusion bar with East & West together 🍸🍶🤍

They also have regular soju, beer, and wine! Come here for a Haenggung-dong date or outing, have tasty food and a light drink from the wide selection, and it’s the perfect Haenggung-dong course,, 💗

Seafood alcohol steam with extra kalguksu noodles

Just as I was lost in happiness, today’s food arrived 💛,, Instead of the steamed clams I’d been craving lately, I chose the seafood alcohol steam for ₩24,000 with extra kalguksu noodles for ₩2,000! For the seafood alcohol steam/kalguksu noodle add-on—and since it was kind of a date with my mom—I also ordered a lemon squash from the Western cocktails for ₩10,000 🤭💛🍸🐚 You can choose it alcoholic or non-alcoholic, too!

Doesn’t it look sooo delicious? ❤️🔥❤️🔥 Oh, the tofu crackers beside it are Ryu-eun’s complimentary bar snack ⏹️

My excited mom’s seafood brag shot hahaha, plus soy sauce/wasabi and chojang (sweet-spicy dipping sauce) that we requested separately ❤️🔥 We got right into it with a proper bite.

With all the seafood and green onion, the broth of the seafood alcohol steam was incredibly refreshing, and the kalguksu noodle add-on was its perfect match—it totally felt like we’d traveled to the seaside 🧚♀️🩵🤍

I wanted to make a shrimp heart hahaha ㅠ but I just cut off all the tails, so I substituted it with proof of my shrimp circle,, 🍤 I also took a solid photo with my drinking buddy for the day 💛🤍

An extra order of grilled pollock roe

As we ate, the seafood alcohol steam disappeared in a flash ㅠ so we ordered grilled pollock roe for ₩13,000 ❤️🔥 Nicely grilled pollock roe with mayonnaise and cucumber. You all know this flavor, right, neighbors??? As expected, confirmed ultimate combo 🐷👍🏻❤️🔥

A date with Mom that continued to Banghwasuryujeong

For our Haenggung-dong date, my mom and I had a healing time at Ryu-eun, the Suwon Haenggung-dong bar, then headed straight to nearby Banghwasuryujeong (방화수류정) together 💛🤭💛 If you come to Ryu-eun in Suwon Haenggung-dong, I recommend this course (because it’s just so nice... 🥹🧡)
