Blueberry cream cheese bread and cake near Mulwang Reservoir, Siheung

On a weekend afternoon with a gentle autumn breeze, I headed out to Mulwang Reservoir in Siheung after a long while. I wanted a drive plus some good bread, so I looked up the famous Mulwang bakery in Siheung. Right from the entrance, the bright lights welcomed me in, and my excitement was already building, haha.

The fun of browsing the bread display first

The moment I stepped inside, a gentle bread smell brushed past my nose — pure happiness, honestly.

The display case had countless kinds of bread lined up. Every single one looked delicious, so I fell into a happy dilemma over what to choose.

Interior and seating

Inside was wider and more comfortable than I expected. Overall, the warm wood tones and clean interior stood out.

There were various tables and chairs, so it felt like they'd considered comfort for every kind of preference.

Leftover bread can also be self-packed.

How much is the strawberry croissant?

At the croissant corner, a tempting strawberry croissant was calling my name. Loaded with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, it looked truly delicious. The price was ₩8,500.

From white bread to pastries, tarts, and cookies, it was basically a bread paradise.

What especially caught my eye were the breads individually wrapped with care. There were uncommon kinds too, like pretzel meringue or coconut cookies, so browsing was quite fun. It seemed like they cared about hygiene too, which made me trust the place even more.

There were basics like salt bread and red bean bread, but also lots of cream cheese breads and scones.

Personally I love sweet breads like Mont Blanc or streusel anbutter, and this place had a really wide variety, which I loved.

Baskets full of cookies and pies also grabbed my attention. There were plenty of light dessert options too, like almond cookies.

Slice cakes and mini cakes

The cake showcase had slice cakes and mini cakes neatly arranged. The kirsch, rare cheese, and fresh cream slice cakes were ₩7,000 each, and the kirsch mini cake was ₩23,000.

Drink menu and ordering

After picking my breads, I checked out the drink menu. From coffee to leaf tea, ade, smoothies, and fruit juice, there was a really wide range of drinks ready.

They were also running a Naver review event, giving out a pretzel meringue cookie for a photo review. Couldn't miss an event like that! Joined right away.

We picked chocolate scone, red bean bread, sweet potato bread, walnut cream cheese, and blueberry cream cheese.

How were the blueberry cream cheese bread and sweet potato bread?

We took our breads and drinks and settled at a table. The blueberry cream cheese bread I picked was a fantastic combo of tangy-sweet blueberries and soft cream cheese.

The coconut flakes sprinkled on top added extra sweetness, and the blueberries burst pleasantly — genuinely delicious. All the other breads were great too, but the sweet potato bread especially kept me reaching for more.

The Mulwang bakery in Siheung really had a wide variety of bread, all delicious. The atmosphere was great and the staff were kind too, which made the visit even more satisfying. If you want to spend relaxed time near Mulwang Reservoir with good bread, I'd definitely recommend this place. It'd be great with family, friends, or a partner, and I also thought it'd suit going alone to quietly read or work.
